My wife and I stayed here for a couple of days late October 2018. The hotel itself was alright, it is a very old building.

The rooms are very small if you can only bring in what you need that would be good. And keep in mind if you need to get around the room that you'll probably need to step sideways past your partner.

The bed was ultra firm which is alright but if your not used to it, it can make you a little stiff in the morning.

Make sure that if your warm in the room. That you go down and get the remote for the air conditioner it is a very noisy neighborhood so it is best if you can keep your windows closed.

The breakfast was good, ham and cheese with some different breads, cereal and milk with coffee and a couple of types of juice.

It is a low cost hotel, and it is great as long as you are not expecting a 5 star hotel.

One of the neatest things is that the rooms are still old style keys, and you do need to turn them in when you leave the hotel.

If you need to park there is an underground parking lot less then a block away that you will easily be able to find parking, but don't park in front we were warned that if the police came by that you would get in trouble.

Good hotel for the money, comfortable, clean and very old

4 out of 5

I guess you get what you pay for even though this was $100 Cdn per night! The only positive comment is location. The man at check-in and most days/evenings was crabby, rude and obviously done with working with people. The lobby smelled like smoke all the time - disgusting. The elevator worked intermittently. Very little room cleaning went on - make the bed and a few towels - no actual cleaning sink or floor. The mattress was NOT a real mattress- it was 6 inches of solid foam on a board. The whole place was old and smelly. The breakfast was okay - crusty buns served with cheese and ham. I booked the place for 6 nights - a long six nights. Note to self pay more and maybe get more or at least something decent.

This is the worst 'hotel' in which I have ever set foot! The place is disgusting and not fit for any kind of business. We decided to get another hotel after having visited the room, which was dirty and smelled strongly of urin.
This so called hotel should be closed down and definitely not recommended to anyone with the slightest worry about hygiene. We traveled with children which made the experience even more traumatising. The guy made us pay the room even though we stayed only 15 min before heading to another hotel.

Room tip: Go somewhere else

Location overlooking Martim Moritz square where the Old traditional trams begin the route. Very active area with a lot of shops and restaurants within reach. Short distance from Plaza Figuera and Rossio. Nice views of the Square and St Georges castle from the front rooms. Reception staff very welcome and straightforward. Room cleaned everyday and the private bathroom replenished with soap and toilet paper regularly. Take your own electric kettle if you wish coffee in the room. i will search for this hotel if back in Lisbon.

Room tip: Top front rooms are best for view but may compromise a little noise if window is opened.

Excellent location, good value for money, helpful and friendly staff! The breakfast was quite good, a lot of variety. This hotel is very centrally located so it is easy to get around. This is probably the best value for money in downtown Lisbon.
