The very best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them.

I do not often stay at this type of hotel but the location was ideal for a nearby meeting. The rooms as expected in older city hotels were small but with air conditioning and on suit shower room it was more than adequate.

The room was clean but what let it down was the mould both in the usual places in the bathroom but more worryingly in the high corners of the bedroom. As spores from mould can cause respiratory problems some attention needed here.

Breakfast was limited but adequate although crowded at times as there is limited seating.

Overall good value for money.

Location is great, providing nice views of the city from the nearby park. Fernando at the reception was especially welcoming, providing a map of the city with key areas to visit. Also, they accommodated me when I wanted to move to an upper story room with a balcony; originally I was on the ground floor which was noisy due to people walking on the sidewalk. Breakfast was also good but could have more selection. Highly recommend staying here if in Lisbon. Prices are reasonable as well.

This is the old business hotel. The location is on top of Bairro Alto (hill) which is 10-15 min away from main touristic area. It can be tough to be back climbing the hill.
The hotel is old-fashioned. The classic elevator is a good experience.
The room has a quite small free space.
You may feel annoyed during stay because the door can't cut the noise from the aisle. I could've heard conversation from the reception at very late night.
My room had a place for the shower and for washing the face. But the toilet was outside to share.
If staying in a cheap hotel room is your primary concern, this is not a bad choice.

We have been in the room for 4, at the 1st floor. Pensao Londres is perfectly located and makes you near by the metro, main attractions and nightlife. Still it is quiet.
It was good price also and possible to pay with a card or cash.
I have had initial problem with authorization of the card, but after communication with the Hotel everything was OK and they asked only to reconfirm our reservation 10 days prior to our coming so we didn't have any pre-charge.

As for bad sides...
WiFi is not stable, but still you can manage to finish main things.
The breakfast was the same every day.
The smell in the room due to the humidity (bathroom), but bearable.

Pensão Londres is located at the top of Bairro Alto with amazing view of Lisbon if your room facing the main street.

It’s an old building and need some renovations; however the room is clean and very comfortable. The hotel is very close to many bars and nightlife attractions. Breakfast was very basic one; the hotel in general is very reasonable for the price.

Rato metro station is the best metro station to reach your hotel from the airport; it’s just 10 minutes’ walk.

It was my 1st time at Lisbon but if I will go again I will chose a hotel little close to Baixa-Chiado Metro Station but still Pensao Londres is very good one to stay in.

Room Tip: chose higher room facing the main street for amazing city view
