The location was great, the staff were wonderful and the room was much more than the price would have dictated. The restaurants and bar in the hotel are very nice as well and what you would expect from a five-star rated hotel. All in all we had a great stay! The one negative that I really have to give only four stars for, was that when we booked a King Bed we got two twins pushed together and the beds were so old/hard we ended up with back pain. But I still give this four stars in the hopes that the management will take better care of the mattresses - they are easily changed to make this a hotel to which we would gladly return.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher level room and double check your bed arrangement before you get taken up.

From the professional yet warm welcome you know you're in a five-star hotel. The staff here are excellent, friendly and efficient, and make checking in and getting information easy. Rooms are large, clean and well equipped, and so it's a pleasure to get back after a day (or night) out.

Two very minor things to notice: one is that the hotel is slightly out of the centre, which means that getting in- a pleasant walk down Avenida da Liberdade- takes 20 minutes or so. Fine, but on the second outing this can become frustrating as you try and get to where you want to get to as soon as possible (as someone else here has said, take a taxi- you won't spend much, and it will be worth it. Failing that, the metro is five minute's stroll away). Secondly the minibar prices are laughable: €7 for a beer? However I suppose if you are staying in a five-star hotel, this is what you get. These are minor niggles, and don't detract from a good experience.

Room Tip: Rooms which face the back of the hotel will be quiet, and get the afternoon sun (pull the sunshades...

I stayed at the Tiara Park in Lisbon last week for 4 nights and was very happy with the hotel and the service. They were all very accomodating, helpful and cheerful! The beds were very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep every night. The rooms are decorated and clean to a v good standard and it is a very comfortable hotel. Location wise, it is a 10min walk to the main shopping/bar areas and there is a metro station a couple of minutes from the hotel which made it very easy to get further out to other areas. There are of course many hotels in the main centre, but it was nice to walk 10mins and not have it all on the doorstep. Tiara park is in a lovely part of town with a spa across the road where I had a great 90min treatment - they were very good too. SO if you want a great hotel in lisbon where you will be looked after, with a spa close by and easy access to everything lisbon has to offer then stay here. Also for a night out, the cabs were only 6-8 euros to the centre, or to the docks.

I was pleasantly surprised by the elegance of this hotel. I recently stayed there while attending a wedding in Lisbon. The wedding hosts had booked a block of rooms here for their guests. Even without the negotiated package, I would have considered this hotel rate a steal for a major European city. The rooms were extremely comfortable, the staff more than helpful. The reservation manager was very flexible with my changing schedule. The location was near a metro stop, but much of Lisbon can easily be seen on foot from the hotel. I was too busy with wedding events and sightseeing to try any of the other amenities in the hotel. Breakfast was included, and my only complaint was that it was exactly the same buffet every day, which got tiresome after several days. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is not a kind of hotel for just a city break, it's really a nice place to indulge yourself. Room is very comfortable and spacious with a beautiful bathroom and amazing view of the whole city. The location is excellent; you can walk through the park to the metro station and it's only two metro stops from the city centre. I also recommend using taxi since it's very cheap and everything is only 5- 10 minutes drive away. Walking along the avenue to the center of the town is also amazing. The whole experience of visiting Lisbon is really unique. People are friendly, food is delicious and the city is a story of its own. And it's there for you to discover.
