This 12 story hotel is next to many other big chain hotels in a business district and under a flight path from Lisbon airport. Perfect location for me checking in late and the leaving early with a hire car for the airport. Everything is as you would expect from a good Ibis but a word of WARNING - watch the taxi drivers in the spaces outside the front of the hotel as if you park or even pull up in the wrong space they will call the police immediately. I was warned of this by the check in desk and did not fall foul of it but that was more luck than judgement. If you do find a parking spot then Ibis will give you a free pass till the next morning. Choice of good resteraunts a few blocks away.

Stayed two nights. Rooms very clean and quiet although be aware that the hotel is under the flight path for planes landing at the airport. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast, paid for in advance was great value and very good quality. One you have located the route to the metro station the city centre is in easy reach and is only a 5 minute walk away. Typical Ibis experience and would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stopped in the Hotel Ibis Lisboa Jose Malhoa between Wednesday 24th & Saturday 27th.The reason for our visit was to watch Sporting CP v Arsenal in the Europa League. We found the staff friendly and helpful and the rooms whilst being on the small side were spotlessly clean and comfortable. We also paid for the breakfast option when we booked and found the buffet breakfast well presented and plentiful with plenty of choice.
The hotel is quite close to the airport so I quite enjoyed sitting outside on the pateo watching the aircraft landing.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone. It is within easy reach of the city centre by metro and there is also a bus stop outside where you can pick up one of the tour buses. There is also a taxi rank outside.
The metro station is at the back of the hotel and can be accessed by going through the hotel car park and then it's a five minute walk. There are also a selection of restaurants, bars, shops and banks within walking distance.
My wife and I would particularly like to thank the staff for their friendly and courteous behaviour

We were there in August 2018 for leisure in Lisboa. Location is normal - not in city centre but in 5 min walk from underground station. 20 min to city centre overall.
Room itself - even bigger that could be expected knowing Ibis minimalistic style. Bed was very comfortable, I guess it was orthopedic one. I don't mind exactly but sleeping quality was very good. Silent nights even just over hotel's roof it is aircrafts landing route to Lisboa airport. Sound isolation is good.
Bathroom - clean and carefully serviced every day. Wifi - free and speedy.
Breakfast was moderate-plus, really enough to start the day.
Hotel staff - perfect, suportive and smiling, very positive and attentive.
In 10 min pedestrian distance - railway station to go to Sintra, no need to reach Rossio station.
I could recommend this hotel for tourists and travellers who just want to get good location for night-stay for reasonable cost.

The staff is very nice and had helped me several times with questions on how to travel down to southern Portugal area. Although there were conflicting recommendations on how to get to the Algarve area, one recommended a bus one recommended a train.

The room is basic, didn't realize that it's a 2 stars hotel when we booked. The towels are thin and no individual shampoo, bath gel etc. Everything is on one all purpose soap dispenser to shower or wash your hair. The bathroom and room is relatively small compared to others we stayed in Portugal. We could hear when some inconsiderate people are talking outside in the hallway.

It is not in a convenient location, we came from the train station and we took the metro to the closest stop and had to walk over 10 mins up the hill with our luggages and hauling them on the small stones sidewalks (typical in Portugal) which were not easy. When we were ready to leave the hotel to Lisbon city area, we had to walk over 100 steps down the hill to the street that lead to the metro station. About 10 mins walk but if you have luggages and do not like stairs, it would not be an easy walk. When we came back, instead of walking all those steps back up the hill, we found out that to the right of the stairs there was a hotel parking garage with elevators to the hotel lobby. it was a great discovery! The reception at the hotel didn't tell us on the first day that we could do that, instead they told us to take the stairs. However, the next night when we came back after 10pm, the door to the garage entrance was locked and we had to climb the 100 (we might have counted 98) steps up. So I won't recommend it if you don't like to climb the hill or walk up and down the steps.
