We found this place by chance, on a corner just a few steps away from a large square hosting several bigger restaurants and across the street from one of Lisbon's theatres. After two weeks of good Portuguese dinners, we were looking for somewhere different - a simple, unpretentious restaurant, serving quality international food in pleasant surroundings.
We were delighted with our orders of two versions of pasta - quite different from each other but both very tasty. and filling We shared each for a delicious tasting experience.
The friendly co-owner (the cook is the other partner, so he is also invested in his guests' satisfaction) explained the essence of his good cooking to be fresh ingredients, simple recipes and balanced flavours.
We ate outside in warm weather, but inside upstairs would be a pleasant winter dining venue. The host offered us a sample of his homemade tiramisu. His main course left us no room for the full version this time, but we will be sure to leave space in our next visit.
