The best thing about the apartment was the wonderful location in Principe Real just up the street from the lovely Placa das Flores. The BnBird H staff who manage the property were very responsive to our needs and requests. Alexandra was super in explaining things and Pedro brought us a brand new ironing board on his motorbike! -as there was none in the apartment.
My fault entirely: forget to ask about a lift/elevator. There is none and it's four fairly streep flights up to the apartment. So, I would not recommend for people 60+ like ourselves.
Unfortunately the living room furniture is not comfortable and rather minimalist as is also the case in the second bedroom. The balcony is not very usable due to its position and quite windy. The street is noisy as it's a steep slope up.
But the apartment has lovely light as advertised!
The apartment is situated in walking distance to metro and bus station and the old part is within walking distance.
Apartment was clean upon arrival and we were welcomed by a nice young man who gave us some good tips for sightseeing. A bottle of wine as well as basic household goods were available. A lovely balcony with morning sunshine was a welcome rest from the busy town.
