It is a good surprise Gigino and gigetto... if you don't mind to park your car in a gas station or in the street on the corner, you will have a very nice meal with a more than a fair price.. the restaurant is very nice but don't expect a updated decoration, but in my opinion is part of their charm.. you have that family running restaurant where the food is the star... I am living in Cascais since September 2016, I am still discovering new places and trying every restaurant a friend or a Local says it is good. This is really good. The first time we have been there it was for the pizza (very nice!!!), three days later we returned there for lunch and tried the pasta (carbonara, matricciana pasta, and their steak with fries (really tender and delicious).. the waiter was really friendly with our kids and very professional.. definitely we will return many times.. until now, is the best Italian we had in Cascais... worth the visit..

This is very much a local restaurant frequented by Cascais families. Think of it as a small Italian trattoria. (no, its not Jamie Olivers Italian, or a one star Michelin)The chef is an Italian lady who uses quality ingredients. They also have a dedicated fresh oven baked pizza maker. It's not fancy, but it is cosy. Its more like home cooked food and price wise very reasonable. The pizzas are excellent with the 4 cheeses and rucola/presunto being my favourites. Pasta dishes are also very good. Worth asking what pasta specials are. Sometimes they have vongole (clams) that is delicious. They also have meat dishes.
For me their star dish (a starter) is their buratta (creamier mozzarella) cheese with genuine Parma ham. Both imported from Itay. Runs out fast though.
Deserts are not their strength, though they do have a good "pudin" (type of flan).
Wines are good value, although I would prefer some more premium red ones on their list.
Their tap beer is the tasty Estrella from Barcelona.
They offer take away service which is useful when you have hungry boys at home. You can take away anything on their menu. Have a covered terrace, separated from the main dinning which will allow smokers.
Location is strange just beside a small petrol station. Parking sometimes needs to be found a block away.
This has been one of the most popular local family restaurants in Cascais for many years now. Highly recommended.

Service okay but food was nothing to write home about. Puddings are all frozen and ready made. Decor was very old fashioned. Good mediocre.

Pasta was average, no better than could have cooked at home. Pizza was yummy that someone on our table had, I should have ordered this. Only here for 2 weeks won't be rushing back, good for takeaway pizzas and if you are looking for a cheap meal.
