We ate ok, the quality is fine but once you are seated at the table they began to bring aperitives, ham, cheese, etc and you think it is part of the tapas or aperiftifs but once you received the bill, they charged us 117€ for aperitifs we never ordered. And we were 9 people so it meant 13€ per person.

Will not come back.

the food could be a bit better for the price and the menu could do with a change. The service is good and the atmosphere is very nice.

A trip back to Portugal always includes meals at Ponto Verde for my family. It is a very typical Portuguese restaurant, full of locals, with an extensive menu, as is so common in Portugal. If you're hankering to try some of the most traditional Portuguese foods, you can't go wrong here. Unless you're really keen on expensive wines, just get a jar of the house wine to go with your meal - most restaurants in Portugal will have them, they're affordable and quite alright. For foreigners, beware of the following: it's traditional in most Portuguese restaurants to bring a selection of dishes to the table as you sit down. This could be a selection of cold meats, cheeses, etc. I've seen people assume these are for free - they are not! So keep what you want and asked the waiter to take what you don't. Ponto Verde gets really crowded, even on business days, so booking ahead is advisable. 60 euros will get you a meal for 3, with starters (cheeses and hams), house wine, main meal and desserts.
