Stayed in this hotel in late June 2011 for a few days. A great hotel, great location and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was very good. You can choose to eat in the dinning room our out on the patio. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room tip: We had a nice double room with a balcony facing the small park. Before sunrise it was incredible to have the windows open listen to the different birds singing. I found found that to be nice and not disturbing.

Avoid this hotel, unless you are guaranteed that you can have a room somewhere else than SW-side. I stayed one week in room 222. It has 3 windows looking at the R. Diario Acores. Car traffic was not bad at all. The problem is the pub downstairs. The noise was annoying and it lasted till 3 in the morning. Not so nice holiday, if you are not interested in joining the screaming drunks and stay up all night.

Arrived late Saturday to find we had been upgraded to a suite! What a wonderful room,it was huge and very comfortable with a separate sitting area containing coffee tables sofa and armchairs.
Bathroom was just as luxurious with twin sinks ,spa bath and bath robes.
Breakfast was a surprise we just expected a continental breakfast but there was a good choice of cold and hot buffet.Sometimes it was very busy and we had to sit in the evening dining area but that was the only gripe so really cannot complain.
All hotel staff were helpful and had a pleasant attitude. The waitresses worked especially hard at keeping everybody happy.
All in all a lovely holiday.Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Room tip: Ask for 2nd floor that where all the suites are.
