We start with S. Jorge clams, the biggest we have in Portugal, grown at the Fajãs. All seem rather big, which is not usual - sometimes they mix the real thing with some smaller itens, but that was not the case here. 1kg gives about 4-5 clams to each of 4 persons and cost 30€. Next, 2 dishes with grilled fish - they have all most all the varieties found in Azores seas, done in a simplistic way - some turned too dry done like that, specially the ones belonging to tuna family. The local "torresmos", pork ribs well fried, and "Morcela", here in the variety that join rice to the mixture of blood and pork, were very tasty, presented with yellow sweet potato, orange and "inhame". Good choice of wine, considering the place; no deserts except industrial ice cream. The view is superb; the decoration is what they had at hand... WC clean. Service was so-so, a little bit like "you already have your food, what else do you want?!" - when we want 2 empty dishs to split the morcela and torresmos, we wait about 5 minutes...

Awesome view from Faja do Ouvidor on a great day!
Restaurante is big and spacious, also very clean. Staff is nice but a bit slow.
Food was very good. Wine selection was a little poor. Lack of stock.
Free wifi, washrooms very tidy and parking was available. Fresh fish and seafood.
Go for it!

Thank Bruno B

We were disappointed with the clams that we had here. They were very stiff, definitely not a good value for money. Maybe it was the wrong day (it was Sunday, therefore there was no fresh fish or seafood). The beef steak though was tasteful.

Myself wife and 3 children had a very nice lunch.

View is amazing.

We had "Lapas" and São Jorge cheese for starter, "Shrimp Espetada", Veja Grilled and chicken steak, as mains, 2 sweets, 1 ice cream and coffee 80 €.

In Azores is a good price for the quality and specialities we had.

There is nothing around, able to supply this quality.

Very useful, service is great. Waiting times very adequate.

If you go to this area, take a chance and eat here.

Thank Ricardo E

The seafood was great, the view was amazing. The attitude of the waiter was not the best (I understand some of the other comments about the service) but the food quality and beautiful setting made up for it fuly.
