They are there But much of the hotel is in a fairly modern office looking block down the garden My room in the old building was pretty and beautifully renovated. It faced north east so no sunshine really. The bed was super comfy but the quilt too thin. If you visit, ask for a heavier one if you need it A fantastic job the owners have done in the building renovation though, with other odd buildings scattered around the main building too Meals served all day is a bonus. In the modern building all open plan ; with a central open kitchen ; style is beach .. the problem being that it was always cold at dinner. But it was November Breakfast has a confusing menu with things which are and which are not included with this choice and that choice. Maybe a simpler presentation would help because the breakfast food is fresh and good. The homemade granola is to die for. And the morning jazz played at breakfast was the most suitable and relaxing I ever heard Dinner was well presented and was always open to amendments when asked. A fish night, a steak night and a fresh pasta night were all superb; I will long remember the apple crumble with hazelnut ice cream. I had it three nights out of three. There are some garden areas...

Staff overall have been very good; at times exceptional.

Safety was good except the waitress who kept not wearing her mask correctly even when serving food. It was one person but .. ! This is a serious matter and needs rectifying quickly

Casa Mae is expensive and I was expecting a very personal exceptional place. It was very good. For those of you who can remember so far back, it was exactly 44 years earlier that I was at another wonderful personally owned hotel which really set the standard ... The Sharrow Bay Hotel under Francis Coulson and Brian Sack
