Old town Faro is very pretty, clean, and safe. It doesn’t take more than a day or two to see it all, but the fun is in slowing down. Having a latte here and a rose there, is what it’s all about. Many lovely guesthouses all centered around a little harbor. The boats are beautiful. If you’d really like to take a ride to an a Island, I recommend Tavira, where a round trip ticket is no more than a few euros.

Very nice old city, a relaxing place with nice view over Ria Formosa. Good restaurants to try the delicious portuguese gastronomy.

Stayed for one day and night. Very nice in the cultural & shopping quarters but can be fully explored in that time so wouldn’t want to stay for much longer.

The old town of Faro is really beautiful, but there isn't a lot to do.
The restaurants there are nice
