“Beautiful modern villa for families of all ages.”

We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children aged 17, 14 and 12 and we stayed in Casa Madeira for 11 nights in July 2015 and the only complaint was wishing we could stay longer!! It is a beautiful modern villa, with a gorgeous kitchen, living area, bedrooms and pool - there is nothing more that you could want from Casa Madeira. Steve the owner has thought about everything from the welcome pack of food when you arrive to floats for the pool, large towels for the pool area and even hair dryers in each bedroom. The bedrooms are really big and everyone having their own bathroom was just great. The pool is heated which was an added luxury and after being in the sea during the day, getting into the pool in the evening was like having a bath! Kids loved having Wi-Fi and the tv with many english channels on it.
Carvoeiro itself is just a gorgeous place with a lovely beach, beautiful boardwalk, restaurants and bars. It is a very family orientated place and feels really safe. Although it is not necessary to hire a car we hired a car and it was great to be able to go to the local intermarche, beaches along the coast and visit the shopping centre in Portimao. The walk to Carvoeiro is lovely and only takes about 15 minutes and the walk home is a bit longer as it is uphill but the taxi service is great and only costs 5 euro.

We had a fantastic holiday and I would highly recommend Casa Madeira, it is a gorgeous villa and Anne the villa manager is so good and is full of helpful advice to make your stay even more enjoyable. Hopefully we will be back again some day!

“Absolutely Stunning”
Reviewed 13 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

My husband and I stayed here for a short stay with the grand kids and we didn't want to come home. Steve ( the owner) organised the pool heating and we couldn't get them out the pool. This suited us as we enjoyed drinks on the lovely terrace. The villa is stunning with everything you need to feel at home, I loved the kitchen with two fridges, top notch appliances and even a wine cooler!
The kids loved the wifi and the gaming consoles and my husband now thinks he is king of the grill after lighting up the fabulous BBQ. We liked the huge comfy beds and the views from our balcony and will definitely be coming back for a longer stay.

“Fabulous Villa”
Reviewed 11 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We stayed at Casa Madeira from the 16th to 23rd June and there were 6 adults and 2 children aged almost 2 and 4 years. This is a superb villa and is everything it is described to be. It is spacious, comfortable and contemporary. I have never stayed in a villa that has so many en suite bathrooms and wet rooms all beautifully kept. The whole place is finished to a high standard. The kitchen has great appliances and it's all very stylish, so it's a bit surprising that a couple of basic things, like the chopping board (buckled and a bit grubby looking) and cheese grater (broken handle) which would only cost a few quid were not replaced. However, that is being a bit picky as it was a beautiful villa.
There is a nice pool, with a cover that is good for safety if you have little ones, sun beds and umbrellas and an outside table near a purpose built BBQ. A tip - when using the BBQ close the large sliding door from the kitchen and use the one in the living area to access outside. Otherwise the villa gets BBQ smoke drifting inside. There are also lots of inflatables of various fun shapes and size to play with in the pool, which went down well with our grandchildren.
The sun terrace is brilliant with comfy outdoor furniture to relax on, sun umbrella, and there is an outdoor fireplace for the evenings. We had a lovely time at the villa. The only down side was there seemed to be a drains problem. We first noticed a rather unpleasant smell in the ground floor wet room after a few days that seemed to increase as the week wore on. By the time we left we were closing that door off from the villa to retain the smell in that one room. Location wise because we had small children it was a bit far out of Carveiro (about a 20-25 minute walk) and we used our hire vehicle most of the time to go into Carveiro itself. With the heat, the distance was a bit too much for the little ones. Ok though if your able bodied and reasonably fit. Carveiro itself is a very pretty little place with lots of nice restaurants and bars. My grandson loved it when we took a trip around Carveiro on the land train that goes on a regular circuit all the way round the area.
We would recommend this villa as a great holiday stay.

“Stunning Villa in Beautiful resort”

We stayed at Casa Maderia for a week in the May Half Term. The Villa itself is amazing, really well equipped and beautifully designed & decorated. There are 4 bedrooms (2 upstairs, 2 downstairs) and all are very spacious and perfectly formed with lots of wardrobes and storage. 3 are en-suite and 1 is next to the communal bathroom downstairs. Everything at the villa is 'top notch'. As well as a main fridge freezer there is another smaller fridge perfect for beers and even a wine fridge in the laundry room! The garden/Pool area is lovely with plenty of sun loungers and seating for al fresco dining.
The resort of Caroverio is lovely. Its about a 15 min walk down hill to the beach and town and if you don't fancy the walk back a taxi will cost around 6euros. There are lots of cafe, restaurants & pubs as well as shops/supermarkets.
A 5 min walk down the road (towards the beach but before you turn down the hill) to Monte Carvoeiro is a collection of Restaurants and Cocktails bars. Can recommend Elliotts, the food there was delicious!!
We have recommended the villa to lots of people already and will definitely be going back.
Steve the owner and Anne the Manager were both great. Any problems you can email and they get back to you straight away. The local taxi firm (there are business cards at the villa) were also brilliant and really helpful.

“The perfect place!”
Reviewed 8 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Lots of reviews already talk of the lovely villa and great location and they're all so true.
But I would like to mention how fantastic the 1st class service we received from the minute we booked with Steve and throughout the holiday from Anne. Steve arranged our transfers and we felt like xfactor judges being chauffeured straight to the villa. After getting over the Wow!factor of the place, we found fresh bread, cheese, meats and wine left by Anne and as we arrived at 10pm it was such a lovely thought. Anne visited us next morning to see we where OK and helped make our holiday so special by giving all the great information and tips to us. She was at the end of the phone if you needed anything.
Carvoeiro and the villa was the most perfect holiday and we are definitely planning to return.
Thank you so much Steve and Anne for making it so special.
