“Wonderful villa”
Reviewed 14 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Casa Comprida, is a well-positioned, very clean, well decorated and well-equipped villa. We stayed for two weeks with a family of seven (2 adults and 5 teenagers). There was plenty of room and at no time did the villa feel anywhere near over crowded.
The outside area is perfect and keeps the sun all day. Pool is a good size and perfect for playing games in as it is one depth end to end.
There are a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance, but on many occasions we ate in as the kitchen is like home from home. There is literally everything you's possibly need.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa

“Highly recommended, a fabulous place”
Reviewed 15 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

This was the second time I have been out here this year as I was so impressed in May and it was just as excellent this time.
The villa is incredibly well appointed, it is just like a family home and you feel relaxed and chilled straight away. Due to its layout it is ideal for either families or groups. The front door opens into the living room which has plenty of seating, dining table and if you are there in the winter a fireplace. Then you either go right into a wing that has a small cosy room with a day bed and cot, a separate WC, then the master bedroom which is huge and the ensuite bathroom. If you turn left from the lounge you go into the kitchen and then continue into the other wing which has 2 twin bedrooms with a seperate bathroom and a double with ensuite.
Therefore if parents with children they can feel they are separate and if groups you are not all over each other. All bedrooms have doors that open to the outside, the twins onto a small courtyard with table and chairs and the two doubles, the kitchen and the lounge all open onto the pool area. All windows and door have security shutters and the villa has electris gates. The pool area is done beautifully. Large pool, then several seating areas so you don’t have to drag furniture round as the sun moves. Big BBQ and a lovely brick built gazebo type eating area. Also has outdoor shower. And more importantly an outdoor fridge to keep all the drinks cool ;-)
Then down some steps into a garden area, not lawned but landscaped beautifully.
The kitchen has everything you need even down to a toasted sandwich maker! Cool box and ice packs for picnics, and one thing we love they don’t clear it completely so there is every chance tea / coffee are there already and all the spices and sauces.
Loads of parking should you need it.
The location of the villa itself is also excellent, it is within walking distance of a decent bar / restaurant though for views and excellent food do venture out. Check out my other reviews of Carvoeiro for some restaurant ideas. The villa is walking distance to beach (10 minutes) but again loads of them to explore within a 10/15 minutes drive . At the closest beach Centines there is a café and above the beach is a fantastic Italian restaurant called Mona Lisa, again worth a visit. But also we walked into Carvoeiro one evening and it was a lovely walk and took about 25 minutes.
Taxis are very reasonable into Carvoeiro was only ever about 6 euros and the villa supplies a number of a reliable chap who sends one out. Though we are still dumbfounded that at the taxi rank we would simply say Casa Comprida and they took us straight there, no road name or any other description required – HOW?? There are hundreds if not thousands of villas there. We were very impressed.
The villa has a pool man, a gardener and a cleaner so you are well looked after and I have compared it some others and I think this is by far the best laid out with great facilities.
Will definitely book this place again. Thank you

“Casa Comprida”
Reviewed 8 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Lovely stay at Casa Comprida, an extremely well equipped, spacious and spotlessly clean villa. Four adults and a teenager had a great holiday.
Very relaxing, and quiet.
We did walk into town with ease, but having access to a car gave us a bit more flexibility.
Carveiro is a lovely town, plenty of places to eat and enough things to do locally.
Alex at PAC Portugal was excellent, and super efficient, everything was as described. Would fully recommend using their services again.

“Home from home but with the sunshine and a pool!”
Reviewed 11 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Loved staying here so much we have already booked it again for October! Villa is fab, spacious and well appointed. They have even thought of a fridge on the terrace next door to the barbie so you can keep the wine and beers chilled and ready! We stayed as 3 adults and 2 children of 10 and 13. It suited everybody, no hassle, total relaxation and the kids enjoyed the pool so much we could not even persuade them to go to the beach! The 2 main bedrooms open up onto the terrace and the pool with beautifully kept gardens beyond.

Recommend the boat trip in and out the caves, book at the little hut on Benagil beach, also recommend the sunset at Cape St Vincent. Great restaurants and wonderful and friendly locals in and around Carvoeira. Been to Portugal many times but always Quinta de Lago area, this is much more traditional and highly recommend it. I feel this may be our destination of choice for the next few years!

Liked best: The privacy and the pool
Liked least: Bit of a trek to walk to beach, too far to walk to town but taxis were easy and cheap. Also have 6/8 sweaters taxis as the norm it appears.
