We decided to book into the Santa Eulalia Beach Club after going all inclusive for the last few years, First impressions nice place, basic but nice, We got changed into our swimming togs to hit the pool!!! one word! freezing! it was in a bit of a state to say the least with loose tiles and slippy surfaces, we thought not to worry its not the be all and end all to have everything, we spent the next few days enjoying our brake with our granddaughter, Loved the trips to the Aqua zoo and the Jeep and boat trip, Then the hotel entertainment was due to start on two night we were there, the noise was unbelievable and went in to the early hours of the morning! afternoon snooze was needed for both the days after the events, more on a positive note now, the locals are brilliant and friendly, they go out of there way to help you out, the Chinese restaurant at the top of the road was the best we have ever tasted and the value was great, We said we would go again and maybe upgrade to a higher star hotel as it was a bit to basic for a comfortable holiday. I recommend a visit to the old town few nights a week to eat and soak up the atmosphere,

We are a group of 6 female students from London in our early 20s. The hotel is in a great location with a local supermarket 5 mins away, the Oura Strip with clubs and bars 10 mins by foot and the Old Town about 25 mins by foot or 7 mins by taxi.

The rooms were clean and equipped with a small kitchen and cutlery. Regular room service (although you don't get new towels everyday). Clean pool. Poor internet access from the computer in the lobby (1 euro for 10 mins) and the hotel overcharges for the bar and excursions....but other bars are very nearby and there is an excursion place near the supermarket.

Would recommend if the price is right.

Couple mid 20s.Just home from the Santa Eulalia Beach Club in Albufeira Portugal and have to say we were very happy with our apartment. Maids came most days and place was cleanest iv seen in foreign holiday apartments. Most important Air Conditioned! Ours was located on the top floor right at the end of the corridor which was far but nice that no one had to pass our door. there were always somebody at reception and were very helpfull and nothing but lovely. There was a supermarket and afew small quite places to eat and drink. The strip took us about 10min walk no more. Main beach 15min. Found afew of the restaurants very dissapointing but found Frog's Pizzaria amazing and also a little english cafe called laras plaice at the corner of where the supermarket was located. def worth a visit for their Cod homemade chips and mushy peas dish (before 5pm 2 for €10). amazing. Found most bars in the strip to be the same so stayed in the same 2/3 we found to be nice altho prices do vary for spirits in every bar. Aquashow waterpark is also a great place for anybody wether family couples or just friends, great day to be had. Also would highly recommend getting the Train/Bus transport to the Old Town €4 all day ticket, 20min in this lovely little train ride. Loads of places to shop, eat and drink.
All in all i would def recommend this apartment and location. had a lovely holiday!!!!!
ps The strip was not full of muppets!

We arrived at Santa Eulalia Beach Club and it was fantastic. Our room was clean, comfortable, and very well equipped with air con, which was essential. Our room was located at the back of the hotel, which was perfect,as it was very very quiet.
The pool is fabulous and there was always loads of room on the sun loungers. The maid service was great too,she came in every day to make our beds, clean the room and give us clean towels.the location was great as we were quiet far away from the strip which is full of muppets. If there is one recommendation i could make about our whole holiday,it would be to go to Augustos in the old town of Albuifeira,it is a family run restaurant and order the Cataplana, this is a portuguese dish with Prawns and monkfish and vegetables,it is 30euro for two people....Unbelievable!!!! I would highly recommend this hotel and albueifera, hope this helps you guys :):):):)

Had a lovely holiday at the Santa Eulalia Beach Club in May 2011.
Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The kitchnette was a little cramped i.e. not a lot of bench space due to the microwave. However there was a table and four chairs. The corridors to the rooms are dark, but not a problem really when you have such a nice room.
There is a nice pool area and grassed area for sunbathing. We stayed in the rooms with pool view, and although on the main road, there wasn't a lot of noise.
The beaches go on for miles......... we walked all the way from Eulalia beach to Villamoura (sometimes taking a detour to the path above the beach because of the tide). It's a very long beach and took over 3 hours.
There are a few bar cafe's just up from the hotel that are quite cheap and pleasant. It's not far from the strip if you like the noisy/lively bars. The old town isn't far to walk i.e. 30 mins or you can catch the tourist train (stop half way up the strip), buy an all day ticket (this was only 3.5 euros in May). The old town is very pleasant on on the evening there were entertainers in the square, children's puppet shows and a mime artist.
Although we didn't use it, there is a rope tree top park (mini version of go ape) not far down the road (left as you come out of the hotel).
The local transport fares were on par with the little travel shop around the corner. We used the travel shop to go on a shopping trip to Portimao, there is a little stop to what they call a castle? at Praia da Rocha which is really just an opportunity to take photgraphs. We also went to Seville with tour shop which was a fraction of the cost offered by Jet2. Seville was lovely, but a very long journey.
Overall the hotel and location were very good, and well worth the money we paid through jet2.
