Just home after a great week in oura view beach club. Apartment really spacious with a lovely pool and seaview . Great location 2 mins from the beach and the strip. our teenage daughter loved it along with her friend. Would not hesitate to recommend it. Great value and the 1 bedroom apartment was big enough for the four of us.Kitchen really well equipped. Lovely pool area with plenty of sun loungers. Only negative rally is that I would prefer daily cleaning or at least daily change of towels.

Room Tip: Block of apartments near the pool with a terrace were so convenient especially with teenagers who po...

Following the directions on the web site we found the property easily ( an easy 30 minute drive from Faro)
Check in smooth and easy.We went to our apartment and were pleasantly surprised at how large it was.Spotlessy clean and a really well equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the TV had all the channels we needed.Large terrace with a table and chairs. The only slight negative was the bathroom which although large ( 2 basins) it could have done with a little TLC.Lots of hot water all day though which was good. The grounds were clean and whilst there was a little walk with some steps down to the pool it was worth it.The pool was gorgeous, very big with a couple of small slides for the children. We had breakfast each morning( nice) and ate at the pool bar a couple of times. The staff were very helpful and friendly.Outside the apartment "the strip" was not for us.it just seemed really tatty although on the couple of occasions we ventured up there the people trying to get you into their bars were all very polite andnot too pushy. We tended to get a cab 5 euro into the old town and have some lovely meals at the old fishermans beach.I would recommend the apartments and

Apartment was clean, spacious and well-equipped. Pool complex excellent, plenty of sun loungers at the pool and parasols for shade when required. The beach was beautiful and within easy reach (quite a few steps to negotiate though). The staff were very helpful and always had a smile! The only issue I had was being woken up in the early hours of the morning by people who had had too much to drink and were returning to their accommodation, not actually staying in the complex but walking up the road past the complex! Our apartment was on the periphery of the complex, perhaps if you were towards the middle of the complex you might not have heard them. Overall a very enjoyable break.

Ok, so, we'll start with the positives -
Lovely clean hotel, Big spacious apartments with all the mod cons, Beach, literally, on the doorstep. The entire complex is very well kept and more importantly clean. Pool is fabulous.
We arrived on a very early morning flight with 2 small children in tow. The room was in the process of being cleaned and reception rang us as soon as it was ready, a whole 5 hours before normal check in time - we were extremley grateful. We had minor issues with the air con and the tv while there and on both occasions we were dealt with immediately as soon as we informed reception.

Ok, the not-so-great bits.
There is a long trek to the pool. And if you are travelling with toddlers/babies there is only 1 way down there without having to negotiate a million steps! But we were never told about this and spent the 1st few days huffing and puffing with pool accessories and 2 toddlers! It should also be noted that there is a road running across the front of the hotel with a carpark at the end that you have to cross to get to the pool too. There also appears to be a private residence slap bang in the middle between the hotel and the pool which I found very strange. Due to the trees in the ground of this private residence we had no pool view but we did have a sea view and a birds eye view of the carpark!
The other main negative is the hotel bar/restaurant and lack of entertainment. We ate in the restaurant our 1st evening and never again. Steak sandwich is exactly what it says on the tin. 2 slices of bread with a slab of steak in between - no salad, no sauce, no nothing. Just chips thrown on the side. The entertainment is pants - not family orientated at all. And the bar closed for a good part of the day and also 11pm at night. At about 10.45pm the (very rude) barman will come husseling you to settle the bill. I ordered a cocktail one night from a poster type thing the had on the bar only to be rudely informed - 'we don't do any of them'. Why is the poster there so? To be fair, he was the only rude member of staff we encountered.
One final thing- we had a 1 bedroomed apt. Children slept in the bedroom - 1 in cot, 1 in bed. We slept in the lounge - in seperate pull out sofa beds as there was no double pull out bed. As this was doubling as our longawaited honeymoon, we were a little disappointed. And uncomfortable - both were very very hard. Kids slept great tho :)

All in all, we had a lovely holiday. They just need to sort out the bar and entertainment aspect of things. And maybe buy out whoever owns that house in the middle of the complex?!!?

Room Tip: As for seaview from 4th floor up. Use 6th floor to exit and use the supermarket the the left of th...
