Overall we had a lovely stay and did feel rested. A nice hotel. We had a room on the 4th floor in main building which was very peaceful. It had a lovely view over the pools and to the sea. Breakfast was good. The smoothies were nice. The yoghurts and Bircher muesli together with fresh fruit goji berries chia seeds was a great touch. The cakes and pastries really fresh and tasty. The hot food section was disappointing sausages weren’t very nice and bacon really thin and plasticy and all these hot choices were lukewarm. The pools were lovely and really warm. It was very noisy and lively at the weekend as there was a bank holiday while we were staying there. Then it was like a ghost town for the following days until we left. Beware that in October this hotel becomes a conference hub for various companies but it still seems to keep the holiday vibe though. The hotel is set above falesia beach which is stunning. There is a wooden walkway down to beach with a lot of steps. The hotel does not have any beach beds down there and the ones that are in situ are private and we paid £17 euros for two beds. Please be aware that your items and belongings are not safe if left unattended even when lifeguards are sat behind about 10 feet when there is hardly anybody else on beach and it’s about 9.30am. I naively left my beach bag with an old kindle inside whilst we walked along beach a little way. When we got back to beds it had gone and that’s with two lifeguards sat there with not a lot to watch over. My fault I know but still. Please Epic Sana can you not set up something on the beach for guests with staff as pleasant and helpful as the hotel staff - it really would enhance the hotels amenities.
There are quite a few eateries just outside the hotel which are all really nice. We walked along to vilamoura one cloudy morning along the cliff tops and it took us one hour and twenty minutes which was a lot longer than the 40 mins another reviewer stated and we didn’t stop either! Special praise goes to a young gentleman porter who speaks excellent English as he was very helpful when he showed us to our room and at other times during our holiday. Also, to Helder who was situated next to pool who was very helpful and earnest. We got a taxi to vilamoura for a night out and albufeira and nearby olhos to some very good restaurants. If you are thinking of booking this hotel please do not hesitate as it’s a haven.

Dear Hattie472015,

we would like to thank you for your kind and detailed review, which we really enjoyed reading, except the part on the beach.

We really regret that your belongings were stolen at the beach. It is a public beach and, although the area is safe, we recommed to always watch out for your belongings and to not leave them unattended. We are glad that apart from this you had a perfect holiday and that all services and facilities of our Resort corresponded or even exceeded your expectations. Thank you also for your recommedation to provide service at the beach, which we really would love to do, but unfortunately this does not depend on us.

Thank you once again for your fantastic feedback and we really hope that we will be able to welcome you back to our Resort.

Kind regards

EPIC SANA Algarve

This hotel really is pretty epic! Facilities, rooms and conferencing centre immaculate. Attention to detail superb!

Food was an absolute delight! Not a bad meal for the entire stay... even when catering for large numbers. (26).

Well done epic sana!

Another late review but what an epic stay!

We were for here for 5 nights back in April 2016 and we had the most relaxing holiday ever.
Rooms- absolutely spotless with a nice bath tub and a walk in shower
Hotel reception area- bright, simple and elegant
Pools- Indoor swimming pool was always quiet so we went for a late swim every day

Recommendations- Food is extremely high quality here so I would recommend going half board. I am usually a meat eater but I had so much fish and enjoyed every bit of it.

We hope to visit Algarve soon, this time with our daughter.
