Could tell you that the rooms are dated but youve probably already read that. They are kept clean though and towels replaced on a regular basis, air con in room which allows hot air to warm rooms up at night. This is probably the best 3 star hotel we have stayed at and we have stayed at quite a few. Dining area was very nice with excellent views, meals were to a fairly good standard and never struggled to find anything to eat. Drinks were also good but did vary depending on what bar you went to, sangria was compleatly different in 3 bars with the restaurant serving the best. The evening bar also had a little que which meant that you could have to wait up to 10 mins for a drink but thats no different than going wetherspoons and having to wait. The only thing that let this hotel down was we booked it on the understanding that there were no all male/female parties allowed in this hotel, however this was not true, one big party of approx 12 blokes ruined it and also one group of females thought it ok to shout their mouths off at 3 in the morning for over 1/2 hour a until a loud shut up was aimed in there direction, if it wasnt for this then I would probably scored it 5, the blokes thought it funny when one of them jumped into the pool and shouted to his mates he only done it to go toilet so everyone could hear. Plenty of loungers to go around although I could imagine it different in the summer, rubbish around the pool could be cleaned up quicker sometimes taking two days to empty the over flowing bins which then attracted the sea gulls.

I'm not going to write a massive review, detailing all the hotels faults. I will just say...don't expect anything more than a 2 star hotel that hasn't been decorated/renovated since the 1980's. There's a nice little bar that does a great breakfast just up the road...you'll spend alot of time in there. The pictures they are using to advertise the hotel must be really old. Trust me it doesn't look like that anymore! Albuferia is a beautiful place with loads of bars and shops just up the road, and the beach is awesome. Just don't pay too much money to stay at this hotel. Oh and if you want a sea view, stay away from cell block A. As u can see in the photo, NO SEA VIEW (paid extra for that too)

This hotel is very close to the strip or new town (although the bars on the strip are mostly closed in the winter months).

There is a path from the hotel gardens down to the main beach where you can walk to the old town in about 25 - 30 minutes.

The hotel itself is nice for a short break, but I personally if staying longer, would have preferred it to be a little better.

Our room was very dated with a small terrace and “odd” wiring.

There was a fridge, kitchenette and air con in the room and the room was kept clean and tidy.

The indoor pool was small but kept reasonably warm with the outdoor pool area very spacious and with loads of sun beds. As we were staying in Feb, too cold to try out.

We had an all inclusive stay so was hoping the food and drinks were ok.

Food was a good choice and service was good. We always find something to eat so never have a problem, more fussy eaters may struggle a little. Drinks were via the waitress but no problem with our party of 10 asking for wine and soft drinks during the meal.

Evening entertainment was ok, but although I’m not into local dancing the Folk Dancing group were particularly good with dancing I have never seen anything like before. Well worth seeing.

The drinks could be requested at the bar, with only two drinks per person being allowed at a time. However, the drinks were strong and needed more mixers to keep them from blowing your head off. The bar staff were efficient and friendly.

As a group we go away this time of the year every year and with an All inclusive 4 night package including flights from Cardiff costing the same as a 1 night stay in Cardiff (if you include meals, drinks entrance fee etc) it is very good value for money.

The group all said that they enjoyed our stay would stay at this hotel again, particularly for a long weekend.

Hope this helps

Happy holidays

Well before I write my review, you need to know that you get what you pay for. It’s not the Ritz so don’t expect that.

Room

We had two rooms. Both were clean, dated and cleaned everyday. Beds were made up and the shower was constantly warm. Towels were changed daily. The only issue was that the door wouldn’t close completely so there was a draft. On the plus side we did have a sea view room.

Food and Drink

There was a good selection of food and drink. Not great that you could only get drinks from the pool bar. Food was plenty and lots of choice. Became repetitive so the best thing to do is to try new things.

Now the reason why we only gave it a 3. The hotel is a good one for a group of us and the location is great. Sea views and great access to one of the best beaches we have been to. The only issue is that we chose this hotel due to the website stating that there is no stag and Hen dos. There were a few and this let the place down. This is the main reason as to why we chose this hotel due to not having them. Really loud and innapropriate and spoilt the atmosphere. People coming back in handcuffs was also a sight but made it exciting at times.

We had a good time. Enjoy

We arrived early but got to our room by 12.00 so that was good. The room itself is in dire need of updating but had a magnificent view so it was ok. Food was very good for a 3 star hotel. Better than some 4 star all inclusive I've stayed in. Drinks were good as was the service. Very nice pool area. For what you pay you get a lot. If everything was updated would possibly become 4 star but then again would be dearer.

Room Tip: we had d202-good view
