We had a few options for dinner but decided to give The Market a try. We both agreed that this was the best idea we could have made. The restaurant had a calm and sophisticated atmosphere. I liked that the tables were not squashed together like they are in other restaurants along the strip. The decor was clean and fresh (the toilets were lovely and smelt like peach) and all of the waiters and waitresses were polite and helpful.
We ordered the red sangria first. With the first sip, both of our eyes widened. I did not expect to be so impressed with sangria but the taste was incredible, perfectly balanced and gorgeous tastes of fresh cinnamon and mint.
We then shared 'pica pau' beef strips to start, which came with handmade potato, sweet potato and beetroot crisps. We loved it, my partner was blown away by the sauce and if we were at home I think he would have licked the bowl!
I then had tuna loin with lime risotto. The tuna melted in my mouth and paired brilliantly with the refreshing lime risotto. My partner had the Iberian pork ribs and three times potatoes, which he highly praised. I tried one of the ribs and it had an incredible smokey taste and, again, melted in your mouth.
I wish we had room for dessert.
Thank you for a lovely evening.
