One of the best restaurants that we had the pleasure to visit during our 2 weeks travel in Portugal.
On a Sunday evening when we arrived the place was almost empty which wasn't really reassuring however we decided to stay based on nice TA reviews.
First of all service was more than excellent. Our waiter Luis did his best to make us feel comfy and satisfied.
For a start we tasted a mushroom appetizer than shared a fish soup cooked with a special herb (poeijo) only grown in Alentejo region. Accompanied with a refreshing vihno verde (my favourite in Portugal) was an excellent choice. The portion was extremely huge. More than enough even for two.
As consequence we also shared our main: black pork which is also a local speciality. A tinto (red) from EA winery was a perfect match.
We paid 50 € (incl. 10% tip) which was a decent price for what we got. I do recommend this place!

This place is different, that's for sure; the decor alone tells you that, it's cool and modern and quite different from the Alentejan norm. We both had a fabulous meal which we thoroughly enjoyed.

The fillet steak sizzling on a hot stone was succulent and tender; the accompaniment of slices of fresh fruit was a surprise, but worked well, once the fruit was cooked gently on the hot stone! My duck en croute was also delicious and, in this case, the addition of fruit is less of a surprise, though the presentation was unusual.

A reasonably priced bottle of local red wine, from nearby Estremoz, went perfectly. The only sour note was the chatter from the flickering TV in the corner, which seemed at odds with the ambience of the restaurant. I will definitely be back if and when I return to Evora.

We came on Monday when many restaurant in Evora were close for holiday so this place is quite full and we need to wait for some time. Nevertheless, the food was nice, especially the meat.

We came here on a Sunday evening, with everyother place being closed in Evora. It's a simple place, but with very good food, at very good value (try the eggs with asparagus) with a good wine selection (albeit none by the glass). The sericaia (desert) was out of this world.
