This site gives the impression that it urgently needs an upgrade particularly on the Washing Facilities. They are old and tired looking with intermittent hot water. Not much shade but pitches well laid out. Would not recommend a long stay.

Nice campsite within walking distance to town. Has all the usual amenities and is easy to find as it it is well signposted. If the 2 K walk is too much then there is a bus stop just outside the site. Nice big pitches and lovely and quiet in November. There is a cafe, swimming pool, laundry, day room and bar opened during the more busy seasons. Everything is very clean and tidy. A supermarket is just down the road within easy walking distance. Free wifi at the reception area and the staff speak English.

Visited this site as we wanted to go to Evora which was very pleasant. As stated by previous reviews the toilet/shower facilities need to be brought up into this century. Dirty floors and no toilet seats or paper. Cracked and broken windows too.
Run by the Orbitur company who need to spend some money or is it all too easy for them? I have written to the company but needless to say not had a reply. Also written to ACSI Camping Card but no reply from them either. We stayed on another Orbitur site near Cascais later in the week and it was just the same, dirty, broken facilities, said it was ACSI inspected only so in fact paid less than the 19 euro on the first site?? Try different sites other than Orbitur if you plan on visiting Portugal.

We spent one night at this campsite on our way to Turiscampo in Portugal and I have to say that we were disappointed withe the quality of the site. As an example, through ACSI, it cost us 19 euros for the night, admittedly with free wifi, and for Turiscampo we would have paid 15 euros. Orbitur Evora looked rundown at this time of year with half of the campsite left to overgrown grass and pitches. Unfortunately you have to drive through this to get to the decent pitches. The only toilet/shower block available needs knocking down and rebuilding! There's no toilet paper or soap to wash your hands (unlike Turiscampo) and the two showers available in both the men's and ladies had cracked tiles, and were grubby. From the back of the doors, it appears that they get a general clean but are not wiped down thoroughly allowing a build up of scum and dirt. It could be a really nice site and I imagine that it once was. I assume that it gets a lot if one nighters on their way further south or heading home, they just need to spend a bit of money on their basic facilities to attract longer visits. We were considering calling in there in our way back but won't be. On a plus side, they have invested in a lovely outdoor pool and good tennis courts but this won't appeal to everyone. They need to spend their money on the basics. Sadly for them, they are also surrounded by an abundance of barking dogs from the local community!

The staff are friendly and helpful, if not for this, I would have only given the site 2 stars. The Wifi tends to be rather off and on. The toilet blocks are cramped and not very clean although the hot water is good and plentiful. The toilets have no seats and there is no toilet paper or soap. The site is listed as being quiet at night - not in my experience! - OK, families camping at weekends, you expect a bit of noise but not until 3am - perhaps the night guard should walk around from time to time to make sure the partying finishes at a more reasonable time? There is a convenient bus to town (although it doesn't run very often) but taxis are cheap, and the town is well worth visiting. There is a supermarket 5 minutes walk down a very busy road (without proper pavements which is slightly scary), and a handy area for dogwalking just behind the site where our dogs could run off the lead (but beware the electrified fence!)
