Right on the beach. Secluded and so special. Food is superb. Our room overlooked the bay and we spent the night listening to waves. What a treat. Couldn't fault it. What a bargain.

Stayed here for one night with my husband. What a gem! The bedroom is tastefully decorated in a calming duckegg blue with light wood furniture and the view from our balcony was spectacular! Nothing but sand and sea! The sound of gently rolling waves lulled us to sleep at night-heaven! Food was good. All in all- a very enjoyable stay- will definitely be back-soon I hope!

We are regular visitors to The Ship, they have the full package in terms of View, location, its a get away from it all type of place, great food including local fish and shell fish when in season,to wake up in the morning to be greeted by only the noise of the waves is a pure delight, we visit around 4 times a year its that good, the manager Carl is so accommodating and welcoming as are his staff, nothing is a problem, breakfast is huge and will keep you going all morning, also like the fact you can eat at 11am, thats a treat, who wants to get up early when your on holiday, sitting on the balcony in any weather is great its heated and you have full view of the bay and its just a short stroll down the hill to walk off your meal, I recommend all our friends to go you cannot beat this place for anything and the price is good too

Room Tip: Try to book the balcony room its lovely to have the fresh air in your face without having to leave y...

Having visited Tresaith beach during my childhood and finally having the good fortune to move to this area a few years ago, my husband and I decided on a Sunday treat a few weeks ago. We planned a trip to my favourite beach and a spot of Sunday lunch - based on previous favourable experiences. Having a busy morning planned, we checked Sunday lunch serving times and were assured that lunchtime service was 12-3pm. We arrived before 2.40pm and were finally and rudely (after being ignored for nearly 5 minutues) informed that they were no longer serving lunch. I explained that we had phoned to check but this fell on deaf ears. I explained that we didn't mind waiting " 40 minutes " was the brief reply. OK we will wait, I replied. Then an immediate change of heart " No, we are not serving".

What dreadful customer service during the dead of winter from an establishment that obviously believes that it can rest on it's laurels. Well here is one local who will definitely not return in a hurry or bring any of our many visitors, as in the past. To the stunning beach - yes. But the Ship Inn - a definite " No". Shame......
