We enjoyed visiting this area of natural beauty even if it was too cold for swimming. The fine... read more

Such a nice beach amazing coral beach. Such a shame the local youth ruin it for them, boy racers at the car park quite intimidating for a family spot.

I just love this beach , its never over crowded and the scenery, beautiful water and the tiny coral underfoot is just fab. I'd advise the kids wear flip-flops as the coral is very hard underfoot. A cool Atlantic dip will give you an appetite - the water is so clear here. We picnic here at least one a year (sadly on a number of occasions it was a boot picnic ( the kids had to sit in the boot it was so wild) but that in itself is a novelty and who goes to an Irish beach expecting the sun anyway ????

We were here several times for a nice walk, also a quick swim in the ocean. Super experience, you shall try it too!

Visited here today on a windy Galway afternoon, toilets, lifeguard, beach cleaning kit for public use. Wear shoes - beautiful with views over Gorumna
