We ended up in this hotel after trying to book a hotel for the weekend. Unfortunatly the hotels we choosed were fully booked. So we reserved a room at this hotel. The room isn’t very spacious but the beds are good. The bathroom is small but with a shower, toilet and sink you have everything you need.
But ... the room we had faced above the square were the tram stopped, the taxi’s stopped and all the drunk people gathered to get home until 5 or 6 in the morning. They shouted and screamed hour after hour. Next to us there was a hotel guest that shuffeld his furniture during the night in the room. So in the end we didn’t sleep at all. If you use the toilet it makes a horrible sound that would wake up the few people that were sleeping in the hotel at that moment.
In the morning we went for breakfast. And the breakfast buffet was a dissapointment. Nothing fresh and even the coffee coming out of a machine didn’t taste. Staff wasn’t interested at all.
This hotel isn’t the 3 stars it has worth. We will definitly avoid it next time we are in Oostende.

Despite the fact that the price is high I was disapointed when I entered my hotel room. Floor dirty, Bad room = very old fasion, rooms very sall, hotel very noisy, braeckfast poor situation. Personnel not friendly at all. They brought sandwisches 4 pieces so now and then so if you where not quick, you diden't have one. Dog Not allowed in the beackfast room but where present. Beds very poor , pillows very small and certanly not good to sleep on.

Room Tip: It is an old hotel with a very poor interior, you better stay away because the price they ask if far above the vallue of the hotel..

Stayed in a family room with our two boys during half term. The room was fairly small but comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were fine. Disappointed that there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room. However, breakfast was included and was pretty good, a typical buffet breakfast, with hot and cold items, and a lovely coffee machine. The hotel is close to the casino just on the edge of the main shopping and dining area. There is no on site parking but we managed to get the last space in a garage rented by the hotel about 5 minutes away;. it's a tight squeeze and there are only 5 places, you need to book in advance. It was €16 a day, so not cheap! Overall, it was suitable for our needs, comfortable (if a bit run down) and well located.

Art deco hotel with renovated rooms. Very friendly reception staff!

Basic room with 2 beds pushed together, but clean and light. Bathroom with shower and bath was clean and toiletries present.

No air-conditioning so it can get hot , and opening a window let’s a lot of noise inside from the square below.

The mattress was hard, pain in the morning.

Good breakfast with different breads, spreads, eggs, croissants and yoghurt. Selection of tea available, coffee was awfully bad.

Met here with Ostend relatives and our UK family. The waiter was certainly an individual and we liked him. The place has an old-fashioned and authentic milieu, with a typically good range of Belgian Beers. The food menu is limited but the results are exceptionally good. Our young family really enjoyed the food. Its an historic place with a historical atmosphere. We hope that it doesn't change too much! See you next year.
