We only had something to drink here. The bar/pub is very cramped. Service is friendly and prices are good.
Can't say anything about the hotel itself though. We actually didn't notice that it was a hotel at all until we checked TripAdvisor

We were having a walk around the promenade and marina area when we came across this smart looking hotel with a wonderful pub/bar.
Even though it was a blustery afternoon we decided to sit outside and a very pleasant member of staff came over and took our order.
We opted to have a beer here and decided on the very tasty PASSCHENDAELE BIER,this is a superb beer and was brought over to our table sparkling and fresh and with a little bowl of peanut's.
The beer was delicious and we just chilled out watching the boat's going about their work in Montgomery dock,a very relaxing location.
I popped inside to take a few photo's of the bar which was superb, great furnishing's and decor, all type's of beer ephamera plastered all over the bar, very pubby and very inviting.
This pub/bar is located in an area with some great pub's,bar's and restaurant's ( try T'BOOTHUIS next door, superb) and some very interesting site's.
Very easy to locate just follow PROMENADE ALBERT 1 toward's the orange ROCK STRANGER'S STATUE'S onto VISSERSKAAL were you will find this very pretty hotel and the superb pub/bar.
Not sure on the opening time's of the pub/bar but as it's part of the hotel i would imagine it's open from very early till late at night,it was certainly very busy when we arrived arrived before midday.
A great place to visit and well worth checking out.

When visiting Café's and bars in this area of Ostend we visited this fabulous Hotel Café bar with it's amazing interior and excellent outside seating.Hotel Rubens is a good Hotel located along the waterfront heading towards Ostend train station.Went here after visiting Bistro t'Boothuis we sat outside as it was a very pleasant day and ordered our beers from a beer menu a very friendly member of staff gave us.When here we ordered a beer called Passchendaele something i had never had before which was served in perfect condition and in it's own glass price was on par with other establishments in this area of Ostend. When here i had a look at the interior of this Hotel Café bar and it was amazing very ornate with fantastic lighting and wonderful features throughout this fine establishment. In my opinion a must go destination when in Ostend for the beer option plus the added bonus you can stay here plus the wonderful Café bar housed in this wonderful Hotel.Located on Visserkaai a few minute's walk from Ostend train station.
Opening hours are.

Lovely, clean rooms, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, smashing proprietor and simply breathtaking views. Mind you, I did go for the Oostende voor Anker festival and so awoke to four-masters sailing past the window! The owner was more than happy to store my luggage after check-out until I was ready to leave town.

Room tip: Pay 15 Euros extra for a sea view. Worth every cent!!

A traditional Belgian seaside hotel - great to find such a place that has not been swallowed up by corporate anonimity! Very central for city centre, harbour, 'little' beach and shops etc. Although parking can be a bit of a nightmare/expensive - as with all of central Ostend!

Basic but very clean rooms with high quality bathroom suite. Quaint elevated breakfast room overlooks the harbour with a 'tardis' like cafe bar downstairs that has additional pavement seating outside by the harbour. Great staff - most friendly and helpful - and genuinely interested in their guests ...

Keenly priced tarif - highly recommended indeed.
