This hotel is incredibly overpriced for for what you get. Rooms are small, location is really not nice and there is no sense of the old castle at all. Worst of all staff are rude and unfriendly. They insisted on charging us 50 Euro extra a night for our 5 year old daughter to stay in our room with no extra bed provided for her or even extra towel. They literally charged us for the air she breathed. And of course no manager on duty for me to talk to about this. They essentially held us hostage for the money. Never ever stay here. There are so many nicer places in Bruges for less money. Oh and there were mosquitoes in the room and the toilet barely flushed. Stayed in better places throughout Africa.

I have stopped at a few places in brugge but this hotel excels. The car park was easy to find in the very complex one way systems, (a major plus for me!) and I cannot think of any occasion where there was a cause to criticise either the staff of the facilities. Our stay was truly comfortable and relaxing made even more so by the ambience of

Dear guest,

Thank you so much for your feedback.

Given the fact you consider Hotel Dukes' Palace as the best place to stay whilst in Bruges, is a great compliment!

Both our management and staff do their utmost on a daily basis to satisfy all our guests; and we are happy to read we did reach our goal.

We truly hope to welcome you on another occasion.

Kind regards,
Antoine

My wife and I had a few day's break at The Dukes' Palace Hotel. The rooms were excellent and it was quiet and peaceful. There was even champagne for breakfast if you wanted it. The hotel was close enough to the main attractions that you could always head back for a beer or a rest if you wanted to.

This is a beautiful hotel and former castle. Rooms are beautiful. If you have garden view, this is beautiful. We had a room with no view. Rooms are nice with modern bathrooms. Glass walls around the bathroom which is not handy at night when you use the bathroom. Then the whole room will be enlightened.
We were not happy with the bed and pillows so we got a top matras and different pillows.
Breakfast is very good, both hot and cold. No life cooking. Orange juice not freshly squeezed, which is not good for a 5 star hotel. All employees are very friendly but I would like to mention Samuel, the concierge who is the most friendly concierge I have ever met.
Location of this hotel is very central.

We were driving between Amsterdam and Paris seeking a place to stay for a couple days, and parking for our car. This place was perfect! Make sure to book a reservation for dinner one night in the hotel. The food is delicious. And the location of the hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of everything you'd want to do in Brugge. Treat yourself and stay!

Room Tip: Garden view room was great and you could open the windows for fresh air at night.
