My wife is a keen collector of bears and we were very pleased and surprised to come upon this gorgeous little shop whilst walking around the city. y wife was very pleased with the selection of bears both old and new. After a further two visits we did buy a lovely bear to take home to the UK. On our final visit we were fortunate to talk to the husband of the owner of the shop. He was a delightful elderly gentleman and was able to discuss in depth on any on a variety of subjects. Very polite and very well informed. We could have chatted to him all day. It really made out visit.

Happened upon this place whilst wondering around the streets of Bruges. The shop is full of character and very traditional and whilst small has a good stock of modern and antique bears some of which are made by the owner. We had a long chat with the owner who was clearly very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and spent lots of time with us. Would thoroughly recommend, a very different experience to buying on line!

This is one of the cutest shops I have been in a long time. My friends bought one of the bears that the gentleman's wife had made herself - such cute bears and all handmade. You could see the distinct personality of each bear. Lovely place fo children and grown-ups

As other reviewers have said, the owner is a wonderful gentleman who loves to talk about Belgium and any other topic you can possibly imagine. We read about this shop and decided that we would make a special trip to Bruges. We were not disappointed! The shop is not on a Main Street, so takes a little finding. The bears are beautiful and the gentleman's wife who makes some of the collection, is extremely talented. Whilst making a selection of one special bear to adopt, we had an informative and interesting conversation for a considerable time and were made to feel very welcome. If only more shops were like this!

Wow! Me and my girlfriend stumbled upon this hidden gem whist exploring Brugge on our last day, immediately after entering the shop we both clapped eyes on Jeremiah, possibly the most perfect little bear you're ever likely to see, sat on a shelf amongst all the other little bears on the back wall to the right. As I picked Jeremiah up frank the smartly dressed and most charming shop keeper of all time started to tell who's his whole life story, usually a bore but with franks unique character and charm it was strangely enjoyable, frank being Jewish told us about his and his wife's retreats across Europe from the waves of German forces during ww2 and there constant near misses, not a story for the faint hearted but certainly on you'll never forget, I was amazed at this mans ability to paint pictures with his words, and I could feel every emotion his went through in his story, anyway long story short after me and my girlfriend spending the week in Brugge we didn't have the money between us for the bear and ended up leaving empty handed, we walked about fifty steps down the cobble streets and turned back round headed straight back to ask if we could pay with a credit card, now Jeremiah sits proudly on the shelf in her room and I get to make up story's about him to scare her, the latest being that it's hairs real human hair form little boy who died in the war in 1943.
