the hotel has large rooms that overlook the canals and are decorated in the style that suits this period hotel and the town of brugge.
the lounge and bar areas are a pleasant spot to recall the days activities over a quiet drink and chat to fellow travellers, while the breakfast room is most pleasant and serves an excellent buffet brekkie

Room Tip: request a canal view room in the main building

My second stay here and once again we were very happy, access via public transport is almost door to door which is so handy, the location in general is perfect. The staff are all friendly and the place & rooms are super clean. We didn’t have breakfast or use the bar but judging by everything else I’m sure they would be good. The beds are fantastic!
Hopefully see you soon when I feel the need for a chocolate & beer overindulgence few days.

I would recommend this hotel. It is beautiful and charming. Very updated with a nice bathroom. The view of the canal is perfect. We didn’t know what to expect but this was exceptional. Breakfast was also very good.

On alighting from our taxi in the front of the hotel I was a little dismayed by its street appeal but once entering the hotel all fears were assuaged. Greeted by friendly efficient receptionist in a beautifully decorated, comfy lounge area. Once checked in were directed to our room on the top floor accessible by lift most of the way but a staircase to be negotiated before our eventual arrival at our room. Yes it is a bit of a challenge finding your way around the hotel and with varying numbers of steps to negotiate but it is all worth it. With 4 large cases to carry it was a challenge but very doable and our room was beautiful. We were on the top floor with views to the canal and it was huge. An entrance hall which the bedroom and large, spotlessly clean bathroom led from. An amazing antique wardrobe took pride of place and was ample storage for our 3 night stay. Could not have asked for a better room, we really made ourselves at home. Breakfast complete with sparkling prosecco was fabulous, enjoyed in a beautiful light filled dining room with canal views. The whole hotel was gorgeous and decorated with some lovely antiques and only a 15 minute walk to the centre of town but somewhere to escape to for peace and quiet after spending the days exploring this amazing city.
