Owner description: Bruges' City Hall (1376) is one of the oldest in the Low Countries. It is from here that the city has been governed for more than 600 years. An absolute masterpiece is the Gothic Hall, with its late 19th-century murals and polychrome vault. The adjoining historic hall calls up the city council's history with a number of authentic documents and works of art. A multimedia exhibition on the ground floor illustrates the evolution of the Burg Square.

The entrance fee is very reasonable for what you get to see.

“Visit if you buy a Museum ticket”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2012

that covers multiple attractions. This provided some neat history on the town and is worth it as part of the group ticket but would not recommend purchasing individually.

“Beautiful Structure”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2012

I only ended up looking at this building (every day). I realised later that the public can actually go in it. It is located right next to the Basilica of the Holy Blood. I got to this area at 9:30am (when the Basilica opened) and it was virtually empty. At noon the square was packed. Go early!

“Fabulous town hall”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2012

This trip was really good value for money - 2 euros and you get an audio guide as well. The decoration of the Town Hall has to be seen - the art work is amazing

“An amazing building in a lovely city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2012

The centrepiece of Bruges and very majestic. Try to get a photo in the late afternoon or early evening as the sun - should it shine - will pick up the detailed relief of the old building and really show it at its best.
