Very good cost benefit. An excellent breakfast. Free parking. Extra sofa bed would be enough for even two small children. Some minuses: The heated pool was not working, it is located rather far from the beautiful Brugge city center.

Having made a group booking last December for 32 rooms for 2 nights this June and having received signed confirmation from the hotel reservations manager in December I presumed as anyone would the reservation was secure, 3 days ago I received an e.mail from the hotel saying they had cancelled the booking as there was no confirmation received ??, can you imagine how we can expect to find 32 rooms for 2 nights in a busy city like Brugge with so short notice it is impossible. This group were mainly ex. service people and their wives etc. visiting the Battlefields and Grave yards of the area. I can only assume the hotel has received a better price from someone else and accepted it at our expence. Please dont put any faith in any bookings you may make with this hotel you may arrive to find you have no accommodation there for you,BE CAREFULL WITH THIS UNTRUSTWORTHY HOTEL RESERVATION SYSTEM. I have e.mailed head office management team regarding this but so far they have decided to ignored my letter I have used this hotel on 3 previous occassions for similar trips with some bother regarding accommodation but we did eventualy get it sorted

This hotel was one of the best I stayed at on a recent trip. The rooms were very clean, modern, and comfortable. The elevators are quick, and the hotel breakfast was delicious!

There was also a very nice outdoor pool, complete with a sheltered area and tables. There are

I wouldn't recommend this hotel for people without a car. It's an absolute necessity given the location, which would be down a narrow country road.

The Leonardo is only suitable for visitors with a car. Due to a number of road works in the area the Leonardo was not easy to locate without ignoring a number of no through way barriers. However when we eventually managed o reach the hotel, we found it located in a wooded area with a number of walks nearby. The hotel itself is relatively modern and we found the staff, such as there were, to be very helpful and friendly. The hotel is comfortable and rooms are clean, bright and reasonably sized. I suspect that this hotel is far more popular in mid season, rather than in September, when we stayed there. During our stay occupancy seemed to be no more than 50%.
(The hotel has a number of conference rooms and appears to cater to the business trade for which it would seem eminently suitable.)
The Leonardo has a restaurant but being Sunday, we were unable to sample this. Breakfasts, however were typical of those found in Benelux hotels, concentrating on a variety of fresh breads and assorted cold cuts.
I would definitely consider staying here whenever I return to Brugge in future.
