Three years ago, we were kindly given a Relais & Chateaux 'box' as a wedding present. We never got chance to use it until now (it runs out this month Sept 2017) We picked the closest place hotel to us. We are so glad we did! A very warm welcome awaited us. Shown to our room - compact yet tastefully decorated in a very traditional way, nice touches like the fruit and the personal handwritten welcome - Everything you need for a city break hotel - dressed for dinner, we took an aperitif in the cosy bar next to the very welcoming fire. They have a great selection of spirits and wines. Unexpectedly small dished started arriving! wonderful and tasty! Moving into the wonderful dining room, with its original painted walls and ceiling (very romantic!) The food was very fresh and delicious. The staff friendly and courteous and very attentive. Finishing with coffee back in the lounge, more food appeared! Yet more delicious tasting deserts (on top of the 3 courses!!) - The evening was a wonderful treat! A late breakfast was incredible, buffet with freshly served Eggs Benedict and champagne! Two small points for me, the ironing board and iron/trouser press combo was a little useless and awkward to use - BUT we were offered and had the option of house keeping to press the clothes, the lighting in the room was complicated to use, it seemed it was all or nothing and we couldn't switch off the lights under the bed - BUT we didn't ask anyone how to do this. I am sure if we'd did, someone would have kindly shown us the correct functions. Finally I can not fault any of the staff, EVERY single person was kind and wonderful and an asset to the hotel. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 3rd floor in a classic room, I am sure ALL the rooms are the same or better!

The Heritage is a first rate hotel in the center of historic Bruges. The hotel is in a totally remodeled historic building, just a few steps from the Market Place. The public rooms and the hotel rooms have been exquisitely remodeled and the service is impeccable. To give one example of the great service, my wife and I had been invited to visit friends in a nearby town. We wanted to bring a bouquet of flowers. One of the young ladies at the front desk called a florist and arranged for a bouquet to be put together and delivered to the hotel within 30 minutes. I was impressed!

Our room was a junior suite on the fourth floor. It was spacious, with views of the rooftops of Bruges. On the fourth floor, the hotel has a cozy outdoor seating area (table and four chairs) for guests. When we arrived in the late afternoon, we spent a half hour sitting there, sipping a glass of sherry that the hotel provided in our room. That was a wonderful touch—two small carafes of dry sherry and cream sherry.

Our junior suite had a comfortable seating area, with a couch and chairs. The bedroom area had a small desk, large and comfortable enough for my laptop. The bed was very comfortable, with a lightweight down cover. The bathroom was fairly small but had enough room for my and my wife’s toiletries. Of course, it had all the modern touches, and the shower was great.

Unfortunately, the weather was not great during our two days in Bruges, raining most of the time. That means we will return and definitely will stay at the Heritage Hotel when we next visit Bruges.

Room Tip: The junior suites are a real treat, with views overlooking the city and a private outdoor seating area

This hotel was awesome! It's location is ideal. This hotel is gorgeous. It's immaculate. Talented, spirited service staff. We opened our windows to the Main Street and it looked like a scene from a movie. Never forget the day and night my wife and I spent here!

Stayed here for two nights during a break in Bruges.

On arrival the staff was so helpful and friendley, they could not do enough for us. After a night out we came back and had a nightcap before bed. The guy on the bar Thomas I think was so friendly and happy to pass on his knowledge of the area for any trips.

The room was outstanding and done to a very high standard. The bed was really comfortable an had a great nights sleep. Some great little touches throughout our stay by the staff like posting a card each morning with what the weather was going to be like if you needed a brolly. Would definitely come back next time we are in Bruges.

Hotel is even better than expected from publicity blurb. Not only did it have everything you'd expect and more, it's the little - personal touch - things that tip the scales. A personally addressed hand written welcoming you, for example; the little extras at breakfast; etc. The main square is the next street. You can forget your car - throw them the keys and they'll park it for you. Keep the window closed to avoid the teenage noise from the street and get some kip in the box spring bed. Not just a kettle and packets of godawful imitation coffee, but a Nespresso machine. Didn't try the restaurant because - strange for this time of the season - it was closed. Never fear, there's bumper-to-bumper food palais all over town.
