“A Wonderful Apartment in a Beautiful City”
Reviewed 20 October 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Apart from the noise from street level construction, we had a nearly perfect stay at this great find on the Burgstraat in Ghent. Bernard and his staff were wonderfully accommodating and helpful. The apartment is centrally located close by most of the things to see and do in Ghent, yet tucked away on a street where you can blend in with the locals. The lovely terrace at the back offers a quiet sanctuary from the busy street out front. Within a few steps of the front door to the apartment you can drop in at a convivial little bar, get a hair cut, purchase groceries, catch the tram or visit a patisserie/chocolate shop. It can be a daunting climb up the two flights of stairs to the bedrooms if you are laden with heavy luggage. Regardless, the place was spotless, homey, charming and well equipped. The only major disappointment was having to leave the place behind!

“Very happy with condo, great location”
Reviewed 22 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Great location in the centre of Gent, easy access to restaurants, pubs, tram and carrefore. Condo is updated but a touch of history. There was construction during our stay but still had easy access to the condo and didn't disrupt our stay. What I like the least was lack of living room but plenty of room in kitchen area when we had a few relatives visit. Bernard was very helpful and deposit was refunded very quickly.

Going to Ghent? Stay here! Bernard was a great host and made sure we were well settled. The Accomodation is spotless, organised and very comfortable. Despite the fact there is no lounge the large kitchen with huge dining table is comfortable and the bedrooms are also large and very comfortable. You don't go to Ghent to sit in the apartment lounge anyway! If you plan to do your own cooking and avoid the overpriced croquettes in restaurants the kitchen equipment and setup is top notch, better than most peoples homes. Blindingly fast internet and WiFi made for easy research and happy teenagers. Our family of four found this the best place we stayed out over three weeks of travelling Belgium and the Netherlands. You are a 100m walk away from the historic centre of Ghent, complete with castle, restaurants, bars, river cruises and all the necessities. I, and the rest of my family highly recommend Citytrip Ghent and Bernard, if we ever go back we would definitely stay there!

“Awesome apartment in old town Ghent”
Reviewed 15 February 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We visited for a weekend in January and loved this cosy, clean, plush apartment. Very conveniently located a few minutes walk from Gravensteen Castle in the old town of Ghent, on a tram route so very easy from the railway station. Well equipped kitchen with coffee machine, great bakery very close by for breakfast and other shops in the vicinity for all self-catering needs. Massive fridge, more than enough room for a big selection of tasty Belgian beer! Also a nice terrace that caught the sun even in winter.

The bedrooms were like boutique hotel rooms, very stylishly decorated and furnished. Beautiful bathroom, huge walk in rain-head shower and a double sinks. Plenty of space for luggage and enough storage to unpack completely and get settled in.

Bernard was very welcoming and helpful on arrival, his office is located on the first floor along with the kitchen, the bedrooms are upstairs. In this sense it is not completely private but that didn't pose a problem for us.

We had a brilliant time, our group was 3 couples and we all loved the place and Ghent itself. By far one of the best accommodation options in one of my favourite cities in Europe. Brilliant value for money.

“Excellent place for a weekend in Ghent”
Reviewed 7 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We stayed here for my 60th birthday weekend (note I am not one of those you see around the kitchen table in the pictures below - I am always behind the camera, it seems). We love Ghent and this was ideal for us. It is just down the road from Gravensteen Castle, which makes everything in the centre of town within walking distance of the apartment. We had a wonderful weekend. The apartment suited us really well. It was very comfortable and we were very relaxed there. Looking forward to having the opportunity to go back!
