The room is impressive - check out the offset bar when you enter, complete with gleaming coffee machine. We originally came here for a coffee and decided there and then to come back for lunch. By the time we arrived, the joint was jumping and nearly full. From families to friends (young and old) enjoying the plats du jour, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Service was great and the food excellent. I had a creamy risotto and my husband raved about his mussels with a lobster-bisque style broth. 'The best mussels I've ever had', he said - and that really IS a compliment, coming from him.
The wine by the carafe was excellent too but, for me, the highlight was the zabaglione - it is so long since I've had a proper zabaglione and this one was perfect: served in a tall glass, with a still lukewarm and perfectly foamy zabaglione topping a scoop of ice cream.
We vowed to come back to this place if (and when) we come back to Namur.
