First there is location - and this hotel really has it: Walking distance to everything you want to see and do in Liège! Then there is the property itself: Very impressive how this old building has been transformed to a modern hotel with all offerings for comfort and luxury without losing the last centuries-ambiance of the old building. We stayed in one of the suites in the old castle, which is a real treat: A tower room with all you wish for with an atmosphere of yester-years! The Restaurant offers a very nice roof-top dining experience that makes it really worthwhile to dine at the hotel. Food is excellent, although service attentiveness is quite uneven.

We have stayed in this hotel quite a few times during thd last years. The setting is lovely. The rooms spacious, nice and comfortable. Good breskfast. The reception hall and dining room were nicely renovated.
I reduced the rating from 5 to 4 because the availability and helpfulness of the staff is reduced compared to last time. In the past there was a very helpful valet parking. No more. In addition, there is no bellboy. No help was offered with our luggage at check in or check out. The reception wss understaffed. In order to ask for a taxi we had to wait 10-15 minutes until a long check in process was finished, since there was only one person in reception.
I hope this will be improved because it is a very good hotel.

Stunning hotel, beautiful comfortable room and excellent food! We stayed here for our 1 year anniversary and ate at the hotel restaurant the first evening, the food was superbe! We also booked a massage at the spa and it was Wonderful! I absolutely recommend this hotel for couples! The breakfast buffet was also really nice, great selection and what a lovely surprise to have a glass of Cava for breakfast! Loved it!

Stay in this beautiful hotel for a day. First impressions was “ a wow”. It’s beautiful hotel.

After a day sight seeing around the city, we decided to have a drink before go to the room.

We were welcomed by a man ( short/bold) with a tie. Since he is the only guy wearing a tie so I assumed he is the boss ( restaurant manager).

We walked toward him and asking whether we could still have a drink somewhere. And he said that we can have a drink at the rooftop restaurant or small space here near the restaurant /lobby. Unfortunately the staff at rooftop restaurant didn’t welcome us to just have a drink. So we walked to another this small space near the restaurant. Finally we sat and started to have a look the menu. And this “ manager” came and assist us.

Everything went just ok. The only part that made me a bit surprised just his attitude when we want to settle the bill to the room. He don’t believe that we are guest in house. After we signed the bill he didnt even say thanks and good evening to us. But he did to the other guest except us. He is just walk away. Seems like we are look less than other guest.

My self working in a big 5 star hotel. Much bigger and exclusive than this hotel. So I know how to serve people nicely.

Room tip: Everything is fine but him

We stayed for one night at this hotel using a gastronomic dinner package (with dinner being served in the room): hotel is quite nice with spacious rooms , nice terrace( which we could not enjoy because of corona restrictions) and a well equipped spa with indoor swimming pool. Hotel is very comfortable with friendly staff ; however do not expect exclusive gastronomy at this place : food is ok but not exquisite.
