Very nice Belgian bar very close to the centre but slightly off the beaten track. Great atmosphere and good selection of Belgian beers.

Surprised people say this is a tourist trap—sure, it’s a historic spot which is near the tourist zone so I’m sure gets its share. But we stopped by in the middle of the week early evening and it was filled with locals coming in from the offices and friends meeting up. Was a fun lively evening and of course, as has been mentioned, great selection of local and imported beers to try.

A pleasant, casual place that has been owned by the same family for years!

It's a nice place for a drink or a snack, just to sit back and watch the crowd.
We visit this place every time we are in Brussels!

This bar should be part of Brussels' 20th Century History. When you walk in you are faced with a long hall of a room filled with narrow tables. The decor is, as the menu explains, original 1928. There is only table service by mature staff in very traditional waiting attire. The service is professional and knowledgeable. The straight forward beer selection has some not readily found elsewhere. The food is traditional. over a couple of visits I had a very nice cheese omelette and a local brawn type cooked meat, which was also very nice.
It is different, other worldly and well worth a visit

In Brussels it is must to go after dinner to Mort Subite to take one for the road. Atmosphere is great as well as Belgium beers.
