I stayed here for 2 nights in Sept. 2006 during a vacation to Belgium. The room was small, but might be considered average for Europe. It was clean and had a nice, new flat panel TV (there are only 2-3 English stations - BBC, CNN, etc, but there are channels in what seemed like every language appealing to a very international clientele at the hotel). The housekeeper also came by every night to turn down the bed and leave us some Godiva chocalate. mmmm.
The best part of the hotel is not the room though. The location is great if you want to do sight seeing in Brussels or use it a base to see other things in Belgium. The central train station is less than 2 blocks away. From there you can get nearly anywhere - other cities in Belgium like Antwerp and Bruges are about an hour away, other stations in the city, and even the express train to the airport. It's also a very short walk to the Grand Place, Manneken Pis, dozens of incredible restaurants, and shopping.
The Chutney Bar has some tables outside which face one of the streets with many restaurants and cafes. It makes a great place to enjoy a good Belgian beer and "people watch" on a Friday or Saturday night.
