The location is great-just 5 minute walk from Schumann so if you are in town on business or leisure it is a good pick. Its a new property and it feels that way. Lobby was warm and the grab and go concept makes sense and is smart. Rooms were decent sized and well lit. My only issue was that on the 2 nights I stayed at this property the drain in the shower didn't work. When I called the front desk they said they would fix it right away but in fact only the maid came and cleaned up. The next day I had the same problem--the shower didn't drain any of the water and flooded my bathroom. Just having a decent working shower is so basic at any hotel and should be taken care of or I should have been given a new room. Instead, the hotel management just overlooked the issue. Fitness center is small and in the basement. Quite basic.

If you are in Brussels on a brief stay to attend a EU meeting, and you get a good rate, this hotel is just perfect.

You can't beat the location, right in the heart of the European quarter, across the street from Council, one block away from Commission and a five-minute walk from Parliament.

Both the common areas and the rooms have a welcoming contemporary decor, as you would expect from a brand new design hotel (it opened just one and half years ago). Reasonably-priced breakfast and snacks are available in the hotel lobby (unless you want to grab something at the local Exki or Paul, which are steps away from the hotel). Wifi is available throughout the hotel for free. The gym is decent and way above the average of hotels in the area.

Staff are friendly and I was very pleased when they accommodated my request for a 9 am early check-in (I was flying in from the US), which made of course a huge difference in my overall experience.

Careful, however, if you are in Brussels on an extended stay or you travel with a family: the closet is non-existent and you will have problems finding enough room for a large amount of clothes.

Interior is bright, modern and fun, the staff are very helpful and friendly. Big comfy beds, great bathroom with fabulous shower. big TV. All automated check in. Easy and good Canteen system.
It is close to the Metro, easy walk to all the sites and close to all the EU buildings.
I will be back and always look for aloft hotels when travelling.

Stayed here with my boyfriend in January 2012 for three nights. Got a good rate on hotels.com of approx £60 per night, great value for a 4 star in any European city. Staff on reception very helpful with good English, (even the cleaners were smiley and friendly which has to be a first!), and large communal area downstairs incorporating the bar and lots of lounge areas with pool/football tables. Lovely, large rooms with huge bed, TV with various channels including BBC1 2 and 3, electronic safe, fab rain shower, AC and tea/coffee making facilities. There was also free wi-fi throughout the hotel which was a nice bonus. The only minus to the hotel is probably that it is slightly out of the centre if you are using it for leisure rather than business and is a rather long half-hour walk (too far for heels anyway!) or 4-5 stops on the subway. However, the subway is only a 2 minute walk (Schuman) and is very easy to navigate and very cheap too. Not sure about taxi prices because we never needed to get one. The breakfast selection was a bit rubbish as well, only fruit and croissants available really, no hot food. Overall though great value, and would recommend for young couples/tourists as well as business travellers because it is very central for the Euro quarter.

Room Tip: ask for a higher floor in case they have an event on at the weekend as we could hear the music even on the fifth floor!

Very hip hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Rooms were big, beds comfortable and shower was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and everything was clean. Didn't eat the breakfast but coffee was good and check-in was too easy with the automated system. Parking is better on the street if you can find a spot. Would stay here again if I go back to Brussels. Close to the EURO parliament building and a nice park.
