My wife and I just had the most unpleasant experience in this restaurant. The first impression was a bit mixed: being the only customers, we were greeted with a friendly smile. On the other hand, the interior was quite run-down and the menu seemed a bit pricey (12,50 euro for a basic salad, 20 euro on average for a main course). But then things got weird...
As the menu did not offer any vegetarian options for the main course, I asked if I could combine the only warm vegetarian starter (grilled feta) with a plate of the vegetables and potatoes that were indicated as side dishes to the meat dishes. Such combination seemed to be the only possibility for me as a vegetarian to get a full meal. But the waitress, no longer smiling, said that this was not possible: the side dishes were strictly reserved for people ordering meat and that it made no difference that I was willing to pay full price for those side dishes! When I asked about the reasons for this inflexible approach, the waitress simply refused to answer.
Although I realized I would go home hungry, I did not want to spoil the evening and ordered the grilled feta, while my wife ordered the salad and some tarama. As we were not thirsty, we decided not to order drinks. We were then informed that we had to order drinks. But, we said, we are really not thirsty, just very hungry. That is irrelevant, the waitress barked, you must order drinks. Wow! While my wife decided this was the last straw, I made a final effort to save the evening: what if we split a coke? No way, the waitress yelled, you must then order a coke each!
At that point we left and got a pizza across the street.
