Sorry to spoil the party but we really didn't think this hotel was that great, at least, not for 99 euros a night plus taxes. We have had just as good a breakfast in many a 2 star hotel. There was no fresh fruit, croissants were always 'well cooked' and we had to wait until our fourth day before we were offered a top up to the small coffee which was first offered. Our room (20) was a good size but subject to disturbance from the street outside and the guests above. Television reception was poor and tinny sounding but you could get BBC 1 if you wanted it. Bed linen and towels were not changed during our 4 night stay, although I am sure they would have been if we had asked. There were cobwebs above the wardrobe, the floor was never hoovered, and the washbasin shelf and tea making unit were not cleaned at any stage. Teabags etc. were not replaced until we asked and toiletries were never returned to their full complement.
The hotel probably represents good value for the area, particularly for the large contingent of American tourists here, and is certainly cheaper than Amsterdam. Delft makes a good base for exploring the area, has a wonderful transport system to all towns in Zuidholland, and is a civilized alternative to Amsterdam, which seems to want to turn into Blackpool these days.
