Owner description: In the middle of the Market you will find the new Church in Delft. This church dates back to 1300 and is famous for the tomb of William the silent and Royal crypt where most members of the Dutch Royal family are buried. In the Church is a scale model of the crypt. You can also climb the Tower of the Church and once at the top you can enjoy a wonderful view of Delft and the surrounding area.

It's a beautifull building to watch from the outside, but to go in you must pay an entrance fee. It's a shame you can not enter a place of worship for free.

The Nieuwe Church has close associations with the Dutch Royal family and the history of the modern state of the Netherlands with its Crypt housing the tombs of the Dutch Kings and Queens. There is a lot of information in English throughout the Church and it also has it has Impressive multimedia presentations and TV footage of the royal funerals. This is another ‘Must See’ attraction in Delft.

This is a truly beautiful church that is definitely worth a visit. I wouldn't recommend it for people who are nervous about wooden spiral step staircases as this one is pretty steep, but the view from the top is worth it. It's pretty windy from the top so keep a watch on your belongings! Definitely get the combination ticket for both the old and new churches, which can be purchased at either church.

I enjoyed seeing the stained window, watching the videos regarding the ceremonies of royalties' internment and reading names of royalties buried there.

There is a Gift Shop were I bought some souvenirs. Note that are entrance fees to enter this church and its tower.
