After breakfast we visited keukenhof known for its famous garden of tulips over 80 acres of stunning landscapes. My son was the happiest when on finding the availability of a wheelchair at a refundable fee of 20$ he literally ran to get one for his 80 yr old grandmother the only tourist spot where we found a rentable wheelchair on our Europe tour. We regretted the fact that we didn’t take our own wheelchair. It would have come in so handy!

It is always very beautiful. I live being a tourist in my own country. However, it gets extremely busy. I would advise people to visit earlier in the day (you don’t need the whole day, you can if you want to). It is less busy, so you see more in a shorter amount of time and it is easier taking nice pictures without a lot of people in the picture as well.

Even though the tulips blooming season is very fickle due to the weather, lots of other type of flowers inside large building. Cafes are available for indoor and outdoor seating. You could spend a half day easily strolling through the large, 80 acres, of paths, ponds and indoor pavilions full of flowers and the famous tulip fields (when in bloom.) If you go, arrive in the morning before the crowds.

We actually spend a weekend on 14th and 15th of April, 2018 last year in Amsterdam. We visited Keukenhof on Saturday. We booked 2 Adult combi entrance + return bus ticket from Amsterdam ticket from Keukenhof official website. We took the bus from Schiphol Airport. The journey to and from Lisse was very nice. Tulip has become my favorite flower since I visited this amazing place. If you go to to Holland and do not consider to visit Keukenhof, its a mistake! Its the most beautiful
man made place that I have ever been to.
