We went to restaurant Fris to celebrate my girlfriend birthday.

first we started with a few little bites, not bad, then after about an hour got the starter "sea bass tartare which was quite nice, little bit underseasoned but good, the second course came about 45 minutes later after we asked if our food was coming soon (they probably forgot about us).

by that time we were completely done waiting and almost drink the entire bottle of wine, when they clear the second course they also removed the bread from the table so we had nothing to munch anymore while waiting for the next course, main course was duck breast which was quite good the only thing is they pour the jus at the table but they served so much sauce on the plate that you can't finish it by just eating the duck and without the bread it's just impossible to clear your plate,so plates are removed still with a lot of sauce on.

In conclusion the food is decent but we waited so long that we couldn't enjoy our meal anymore, we arrived at 19h10 and left the restaurant at almost 00h00 that is too long.
what a disappointment

We have been coming here for some years and are still enthusiastic about the quality of the food, the wines and the service. Excellent value for money.
We understand that the Chef will take over the restaurant in September from the present owners. We trust he will safe-guard the quality.

We've been to the restaurant on a busy saturday. Place was packed, and the host was very welcoming. We had a good table for two, so everything seemed fine. However, matters went downhill from here.

We decided to go for dinner a la carte. The first course took one hour to arrive. Was dissapointing, it was a plain cold first course which felt like it should have been warm. Hard to explain.

The waitress offered to bring more bread. Didn't understand, bread between 1st and 2nd course? She probably knew. It took them more than one hour to bring the main course. That's way too long. Two hours after we sat down the first real food.

Have to admit, the main course was very good. Both for my girlfriend and for me.The chef knows how to cook. But it was very little, and we were getting starved for some food.

We were in for the dessert, but the feeling to wait another hour for this was too much. Could get the menu anyway, service was pretty terrible all evening. Really had to work hard to get noticed (get a glass of wine : difficult). Getting the bill was impossible too. In other words, had to walk down to the host and told them I wanted to pay.

If you want to spend $200 for two for dinner, and still feel you have lost weight : Fris is the place to be. And whatever you do, don't go there with a hungry feeling.

We went here with friends to enjoy a 7 course menu. To be honest, I forgot each individual course (except the fact we got 2 desserts...) but they all tasted extremely well. Each of the dishes existed of unusual ingredients. Something you would never tried at home. Also the way they were served was exceptional. The dishes were not too big, but after we finished all 7 courses, we really felt very satisfied.
The young staff is very professional and we certainly recommend this restaurant
