If you don't visit Anne Frank this place should be 'compulsory' .
Great way to experience a part of Dutch history.

This is a free museum, home. To see the "hiding place" and to here the story presentation by enthusiastic volunteers is incredible.

Tours alternate in Dutch and English. I waited in line 40 minutes to be sure I got in the next English tour. (You can make reservations for the morning tours.) So very glad I saw this house! The tour guide was excellent. Now I'm reading "The Hiding Place" again. I highly recommend!

The several hours-long lines outside the Anne Frank House left us realizing we were 2 months too late in ordering tickets for the tour. Fortunately, we found the Corrie ten Boom House where we learned two things: persons other than Jews (communists, resistance, others) hid from the Nazis and it took courage both to hide from the Nazis and courage to hide others from the Nazis. What made this tour special was the docent who had been offering tours as a personal ministry for 30+ years. To stand in the small bedroom with the secret hiding place was special. Patience is required to listen to the docent's lengthy testimony of Corrie's life and faith.

Wonderful museum, great tour. Such an honour to stand in the house where such great courage and faith were shown. Cannot recommend highly enough! Free entrance and donations taken as well as books available to buy. Tours on different languages are undertaken at set times. Arrive early and be prepared to wait because only 20 may go in at a time and it is popular.
