A week ago I would not have imagined going to a museum of handbags. It turns out this museum is fun and educational and the staff is very friendly. It is not a large museum but the bags and history they represent are interesting even to someone as ignorant of fashion as I am.

Popping in for a visit was a great idea. This gem is very interesting and informative. Plus, they have incredible dining options. And since it will probably rain while you are in Amsterdam, you should get yourself an umbrella here to remind you of your visit and look forward to your next rainy day.

History of purses started by an antique dealer. The oldest dates from the 15th century. Interesting look at the change from being an object used mainly by men to a fashion statement today. ... oh, and I bought a travel wallet with zippers and a belt loop!

A lovely and an interesting museum for all the bag lovers. A beautiful, beautiful cafeteria to enjoy afternoon tea experience. Lovely decor and a beautiful view to the canal. Lovely place!

Should be paired up with the Bata shoe museum in Toronto! Some of the exhibits are more art than practical use, but that's the fun of it-the variety of creativity. There is a small cafe for snacks in a beautiful room on the ground floor.
