History of purses started by an antique dealer. The oldest dates from the 15th century. Interesting look at the change from being an object used mainly by men to a fashion statement today. ... oh, and I bought a travel wallet with zippers and a belt loop!

A lovely and an interesting museum for all the bag lovers. A beautiful, beautiful cafeteria to enjoy afternoon tea experience. Lovely decor and a beautiful view to the canal. Lovely place!

Should be paired up with the Bata shoe museum in Toronto! Some of the exhibits are more art than practical use, but that's the fun of it-the variety of creativity. There is a small cafe for snacks in a beautiful room on the ground floor.

Good day
When visiting a new place we like to see a NEW museum. so this museum was new as not often you can see a museum with bags
Me and my husband liked the place
- the museum is organised on periods and what was the utilisation and fashion for each period
- very informative and interested summary on each topic
- good cafeteria on 2st floor (we tried apple pie and lemon tart both very good)

The museum is to be seen not only in order to see nice purses but to see how it started, how it evoluated, what was a ball notebook, what was a hip purse and how was used..
I have a great appreciation for the founders which are people passionated of something and shared their nice ideas with all of us

This was actually an interesting history of the original coin purses through today's couture ladies handbags. It is probably more enjoyable for women as purses play a central part in our wardrobes.
