Beautiful room and en suite facilities. The pool and spa provided excellent way to relax after a day of sight seeing, The museums and art galleries were exceptional - the breakfast at the Rijksmuseum was a super starter to a fabulous exhibition space. Anne Frank's House and the Van Gogh Museum were wonderful and no queues! I would highly recommend this hotel as it is near to the station and tram stops, cafes and markets. It was a great location for a pre Christmas break.

Room Tip: Our room was a superior room.

We booked into this 5 star ( ? ) hotel several weeks before our stay, so expected a good room. Our room looked nothing like the one advertised on the website, and we overlooked a crane and a building site from our window. The wardrobe was no more than 2 foot wide, and there were only 2 drawers. It was basically a single room with a double bed squeezed into it. Tired from our journey, and only staying 2 nights we mentioned it to reception in the morning. " All the rooms are this size" I was told. " Then why do you picture a bigger one on your website" I replied. No mention of the building site when we checked in, and work started at 7.30am. Delightful !!
No apology or explanation from the management.

Room Tip: Do not book a room until you see it firsthand.

This luxery 5 star hotel has a breathtaking exterior and interior and under Dutch management.
The wooden decorations not to forget the realy nice sculpted glass windows are beauties! A brilliant location as well, 5 minutes walk from central station and all trams and busses.
Staff is very eager to please what gives you a warm feeling about the atmosphere.
The rooms are amazing, decoration as well as the size.
I loved the wooden elevators from 100 years ago, the steps are very well to do, an entertainment on itself when you love architecture. Even a beautifull swimming pool has found his place.
Here you will come back!

Fantastic hotel, fantastic staff, just cannot recommend enough. Very close to the central station, fabulous restaurants in the surrounding area & beautiful rooms. Staff are friendly & welcoming. We arrived on my birthday & I was wished a Happy Birthday & we were given sparkling wine in our room & a lovely birthday card. The small touches make such a difference. The bedroom was unreal & the bathroom was huge. Cannot wait to stay here again! The only negative (which won't apply to everyone) is that the gym was pretty rubbish. We should have expected that as hotel gyms are not that great but this really was poor, and absolutely boiling hot. Go out for a long walk/swim if you can instead!

Brilliant location, a 10 minute walk to Central Station. The rooms are absolutely stunning - we opted for a Superior Delux Room and it was fantastic; gorgeous four poster bed and huge bathroom. The architecture is remarkable too - worth taking time to appreciate the original detail of this building. The mini bar was all complimentary and refilled daily which is a nice touch. This hotel offers real luxury with exceptional customer service.
