During our recent trip to Amsterdam, my husband and I were looking for some type of Asian food that wouldn't cost us an arm and a leg; Amsterdam is a very expensive city!
We found this small restaurant about 15-20 minutes walk from Amsterdam Central Station, past the Dam(main square).
As soon as we entered restaurant, a lady told us we needed to order and pay before seating. This was somewhat inconvenient because we were tired from exploring the city on foot and now I had to look at the wall menu, order, and pay. I am not too familiar with Malay cuisine; therefore, my husband and I just ordered the Malay beef. We did not know how it was going to be, we just needed to sit down and eat.
2 Malay Beef and 2 Chinese teas for 24 Euros
This dish did not disappoint at all, is rich, spicy, and simply good. We liked it so much, that we ended up eating here a second time before leaving Amsterdam. We ordered the same thing. This dish comes with a small type of samosa(very hot-temperature) and steamed rice.
This restaurant is very cleaned, has a cleaned bathroom upstairs, accepts credit cards, and personnel are nice and efficient.
I will eat here again
