“Nice Hotel, Great Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2012

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during the easter week 2012. I had a lowbudget single room and was pleasantly surprised to find a comfortable doublebed and a good sized room with a private bathroom. The room was in the basement floor and had only a small window, but who sits inside a hotelroom looking out a window on their holiday? The basement rooms are easy to access (No climbing stories of steep stairs) and the floor is clean. There were some spots on the walls in my room and some furniture had seen better days, but overall everything was clean and functionable. The soundproofing in the basement is pretty bad, but it didn´t affect my sleep at all. The staff was helpful and relaxed. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone loolking for a good standard accomondation in Amsterdam for a low price.

Room Tip: Do try the lowbudget basement rooms. You´ll be pleasantly surprised!

this is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in .stayed 3 nights. even though i was one person booked a single room and was on budget room. the money paid did not justify the room.the property was run down.even the hotel sign was in a run down state.was given a boxed room in a basement.the room was claustrophobic. the walls were damp. the bed was about only 2 feet wide. so if you are a large person no way.the window was not sound proof. could her people talikng and walking along the foot path.in the first night heard thumping noise for about one hour.then it stopped.second night heard banging /thumping noise for bout about 4 hours. assumed the noise was coming from adjacent building(building works)had rough nite and was unable to sleep. on third the banging went on all night. could not sleep. went to, reception desk and made a compliant asked what the banging noise was. I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE HEATER BOILER.was offered an another room at 3 o clock in the morning. i was due to check in the morning. the hotel is not near the city center as it clims. its about 30 mins walk to dam square. give this hotel a wide berth. i do not recommend this hotel and also its overpriced. hope this helps fellow travellers

Me and my friend have stayed for 3 nights in twin room of Quentin England Hotel. Although we knew that for money we paid for the room we couldn't expect much, but room was really much smaller than we expected and sleep quality wasn't good due to noises from outside and from neighbors. Other than that, the room was pretty clean, friendly staff was always ready to help and location is not that bad either, just few minutes walk to public transport.

We stayed at the Quentin England for 3 nights in March. The location is great. Not in the middle of the nightlife, yet close to the Leidseplein and right next to Vondelpark. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was small but clean and with a nice view.
Not overpriced and a decent breakfast. I would stay there again because of the location.
