After having a horrible experience at a nearby hotel, Banks Mansion took us in with open arms! All thanks goes to Michelle at the front desk for easing our early check-in process (which was last-minute), helping us with our heavy luggage, and overall ensuring we have a pleasant stay.
My 2 cents in: Excellent staff, delicious breakfast buffet, and a beautiful cozy room with the comfiest beds makes this hotel simply exceptional! The value of the hotel seems VERY reasonable, given that its all-inclusive, which makes the entire stay an evermore peaceful relaxing experience.

Nice and cozy, very well located and the people very friendly. The room small but confortable and the atmospheres of the hotel quiet retro. Me and my son 13 years old, spent just one night, my son said that is a hotel to old people, but I think is a very pleasnt

Dear Pedrosidebent,
Thank you for your 5 star rating!

Good to hear that you had such a pleasant stay in our Mansion.

Banks Mansion doesn’t have an entertainment team but there is so much to offer nearby for every age. And the nice thing about our location is that everything is walkable, the museums, bars, shops and other hotspots.

I bet he would have like the The Amsterdam Dungeon for example, it’s just a 5 min walk and they even have a rollercoaster! Or what do you think about “My Escape” also 5 min walk. It’s an escape room were you have to resolve all kind of puzzles to exit the room.

We hope to welcome you guys again in the near future.

With kind regards,

Paul Buyser

Yet another amazing stay. Walking into the Banks Mansion is like walking into your favourite Aunt's home. You are cared for so well. Said loads before so won't repeat that but just to add this is still the best hotel in Amsterdam in my opinion.
The hotel operates an internship/apprentice policy which I really admire. This year we met Darleen - so professional and friendly, a pleasure to talk to - hope you make it to the Carnival Darleen.
And meeting up with Sandra in the Kitchen just sets you up your day, as well as the delicious food.
Thanks Banks Mansion, see you soon hopefully.

Room tip: All rooms are very quiet and rarely hear other guests. Some traffic noise but not loud or disturbing. Love the exec rooms.

Dear Reebi,

Wow, what a great title of your review. We try to give all our guests the ''home away from home'' feeling and this words really makes us smiling. Your kind comments are greatly appreciated and will be passed on to the whole team including our lovely trainee Darlene and Sandra from the kitchen.

Did you tried the delicious pancakes and omelettes from Sandra in the breakfast room? Hopefully this was a good start of the day for you. Many thanks once again for your review and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future!

With warm regards,

My husband and I were here over the Christmas holiday for five nights and really enjoyed our stay. The décor, with all it's beautiful wood and Frank Lloyd Wright type style, made each area of the hotel a point of special interest. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful and were happy to assist us in any way. The ladies that serve breakfast were spot on with their excellent cooking and great service.
We stayed in a executive canal view room which was lovely, clean and very spacious. I've got to say, our bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've slept on while traveling! Such a surprise but a truly welcome one at the end of a day of sight seeing.
The all inclusive concept makes a big difference when it comes to the ease and availability of getting a beer or water or any other beverage you may like throughout the day.
The only problem we had was the location of the water temperature control in the shower which was a bit tricky. Located directly under the rain shower, it was impossible to turn around in the shower without moving the temperature control. When I mentioned this upon checkout, they said they were aware of that and in the process of installing new controls so that may be already done. That one small issue is not enough to knock a star off though. Beautiful hotel, great people and close to everything. What more can you ask for?

Room tip: Canal room view all the way!

Dear Mojocn

First of all, thank you for taking the time to write a review about our mansion.
We are so happy to read you spent your well-deserved Christmas Holliday with us and how nice you enjoyed our interior. Did you know this is designed by Berlage?
Sandra and Ola are always more than happy to bake you some eggs, omelets or pancakes.

When you are on holiday you need some good rest, this is why we picked the best matrasses for you because. Who can hit a busy city, seeing all the highlights and walk all day without a good night sleep?
Feedback is always welcome and we are always looking for ways to improve ourselves. We are working on this matter.

We are looking forward to welcome you in the (near) future!!

Warm regards,
Paul Buyser

Had a problem with the stench of a smoker, so had to move room twice, but otherwise a very pleasant stay. We particularly liked the lounge room at reception and guests did linger and enjoy company so it wasn't a pretend shared space. Rooms are small, breakfast very good and the canal views, classic Amsterdam.

Dear Bogong5,

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review.

I am happy to hear that you guys had, after some moving, a very pleasant stay at Banks Mansion.

Like you already point out ‘The Living’ is really a shared space in the good meaning of the word. It’s a good area to socialize, it gives you the opportunity to meet other guests in a comfortable and relaxed setting while enjoying an afternoon drink and our famous cheese buffet.

We are looking forward to your next visit at Banks Mansion.

Kind regards,

Paul Buyser
