Very unique and individual rooms in a great location - bed was soooo comfortable - reception staff very helpful - hotel is soooo close to Centraale Station and museums too - only downside was only single glazing

Room Tip: views onto Damrak

We stayed here at the end of August to enjoy a city break in the beautiful Amsterdam. This hotel is a brisk 5 minute walk from Dam square. We walked past it while trying to find it so make sure to keep your eyes peeled.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, we were even given a guided tour around the hotel. The room we had was over looking Damrak street, you can sit on the balcony and watch the hustle and bustle going on below while enjoying a cup of coffee made from the Nespresso machine in your room!

The ONE downside is the clock tower is directly opposite and rings pretty early given you a rude awakening.

All in all a Beautiful hotel with stunning decor and at an amazing Location.

Perfect location and exciting rooms with different interiors. Quiet and clean hotel and it is perfect for your weekend in Amsterdam if you want to be close to all of the action. Good breakfast restaurant right next door and a perfect way to start the day. Very nice and helpful staff,

This hotel was a perfect base for our sightseeing trip in Amsterdam. I stayed here with my mum and the hotel was in a prime location, just a 2 minute walk from centraal station and dam square and a short stroll from both the red light district in one direction and the Anne Frank huis in the other. My mum can find it difficult to walk long distances so we needed a hotel that was central and this hotel surpassed our expectations - we were right in the centre of everything...perfect!
We both slept well on each of the 3 nights that we stayed here. The beds are very comfortable and despite being right on damrak, a very busy main tourist street, there was minimal noise. We stayed in room 502 on the fifth floor and didn't appear to be facing damrak which may be why it was so quiet.
The room itself was quirky and the decor was interesting - all part of the appeal of this hotel. The room was small, however we knew this would be the case upon booking. Although small, it was perfectly suitable for our stay. The shower was found within what could be described like a closet (opening a door to find a shower built into the wall). This was no problem, however the doors to the shower only seemed to open from the outside which made closing them and having privacy quite tricky (which may not worry other travellers, although not ideal when travelling with your mum). It was however a minor inconvenience and did not detract from the overall quality of the room, which was immaculately clean. Fresh towels were delivered on 2 of the days and beds made daily.
It was quite expensive for what you got and I do think you are paying for the location. For the purpose of our trip though it was exactly what we wanted and we were happy to pay the money. Having read reviews prior to travelling, I knew that the entrance would be quite difficult to find so instead looked for the Stock cafe as I definitely would have missed the little entrance beside it had I not known where to look.
Overall, we had a great stay. The staff were friendly, rooms were small but very clean and the location was perfect. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking to be right in the middle of things in Amsterdam as the location is second to none.

Our room was clean, quirky (maybe not to everyone's taste), quiet, comfortable and well maintained, we couldn't ask for any more.
As for location, at 2 minutes walk from the main train station, it couldn't have been better situated. The picture is of the view outside of our room.
